Beyonce’s team breaks silence after harrowing mid-air car stunt leaves her screaming ‘Stop’ onstage

On Saturday evening in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé experienced a particularly scary incident during her homecoming concert.

During her show, the performer soars above the spectators in a striking red convertible, with the 16 Carriages precariously tilting as if ready to topple the Cowboy Carter artist from the vehicle and towards the viewers below.

Nevertheless, Beyoncé graced the main stage once more and completed her performance with the finesse expected of a true professional.

After the show, Beyoncé’s team released a statement addressing the incident.

Tonight, during the concert at NRG Stadium in Houston, a technical issue occurred that made the flying car used by Beyoncé to get closer to her audience and move around the stadium lean.

‘She was swiftly lowered down, ensuring everyone’s safety, and there were no injuries reported. The performance went on smoothly without any mishaps, according to Parkwood Entertainment.’

As the car began to tilt, the Single Ladies singer, 43, shouted to her crew to stop.

Beyonce spoke firmly, saying, ‘Halt!’ She repeated it twice, with urgency in her tone, “Halt, halt, halt.” A hush fell over the crowd momentarily, then they broke out in a mix of shouts and applause.

The cable-connected vehicle was gradually and securely lowered to the stage level.

Despite the terrifying stakes, Beyonce appeared calm while in the car.

It seems there’s some confusion about the details, but based on numerous social media posts and reports from the Houston Chronicle, it appears that her car suddenly became suspended in the air before coming to a stop.

Representatives for Beyoncé were reached out to by DailyMail.com for a response, but no immediate reply was received.

Based on reports from Hot New Hip Hop, Beyoncé momentarily stepped off the stage while her car was safely lowered onto the ground. Afterwards, she returned to complete her performance.

After reaching the safety of the stage, the singer continued her performance, expressing gratitude to her fans with a sincere message.

‘I wanna thank y’all,’ she told the audience, adding, ‘for loving me.’

‘If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me,’ she said.

The event that took place in Houston, her home city, wasn’t the first instance where she encountered a mechanical problem while on her Cowboy Carter tour.

During the last performance of her five-night run in Los Angeles in May, a fan’s video showed the singer being filmed as a malfunctioning stage robot missed its target.

At a specific part of the concert held at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium, Beyoncé paused for a moment and sat on a grand golden chair. Nearby, a robotic arm, usually seen in factories, tried to pour liquor from a bottle into her glass, which was positioned on one of the throne’s arms.

However, the robot accidentally tipped the bottle slightly off its mark, resulting in a spill of the liquid onto the luxurious gold chair it was occupying.

Beyoncé was expected to casually continue by sipping her drink and pretending to switch on the television using a remote control, which was located on the other armrest, apparently intending to relax afterward.

However, the Texas Hold ‘Em vocalist seemed taken aback and self-conscious when she momentarily grasped her glass, discovering it was empty.

A smile began to form on her lips swiftly, as she promptly put the now-empty glass back onto the cushioned rest beside her.

Yet, despite maintaining a restrained expression, Beyoncé deftly carried on with her performance, reaching for the remote and seemingly switching on a TV.

Or:

Beyoncé suppressed her grin and kept going in the act, pretending to power up a television as she grabbed the remote.

Or:

Though Beyoncé hid her smile, she persisted with the performance, giving the impression of turning on a TV by clicking the remote.

Beyoncé’s current concert tour, known as “Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour,” is an extension of her album titled “Cowboy Carter.” This tour continues to promote her latest release.

It’s an all-stadium tour, featuring 32 stadium shows in the U.S. and Europe.

Starting from April 28, 2025, in Inglewood, California, the tour will wrap up on July 26, 2025, in Paradise, Nevada.
