Among the most notable ones are the Lead Quest Designer and Technical Sound Designer.
We don’t have many specifics about Beyond Good & Evil 2 yet, but recent job postings confirm that the game is being built with Ubisoft’s Voyager engine.
The Lead Quest Designer will oversee the Quest Design team and collaborate with the Narrative and Design teams to develop and integrate the game’s storylines and related gameplay mechanics.
This team will create the story and missions for Beyond Good & Evil 2, focusing on a game where your decisions genuinely impact the outcome.
The Technical Sound Designer will figure out how to make the game’s audio systems work from a technical standpoint.
They’ll be under the direct supervision of the audio director in Ubisoft Montpellier.
Beyond Good & Evil 2’s Job Openings Indicate Ongoing Development
The new job postings are encouraging for fans who have been hoping for any progress on the game’s release.
Wow, it feels like ages since we last got any real news about Beyond Good & Evil 2! It’s been almost a year since Michel Ancel, who used to work at Ubisoft, mentioned the game was seriously struggling in development – basically, stuck in development hell. I’m still hoping it eventually sees the light of day!
Ancel played a crucial role in developing the game’s initial concept, and when he and other important team members left, it significantly affected how the game was ultimately made.
Even with all the challenges, the project continued moving forward with Fawzi Mesmar, the new creative director, leading the way.
During the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the original game in June 2024, Ubisoft confirmed that they are still working on Beyond Good & Evil 2.
