Shipton Abbott is a vibrant place, despite seeming quiet at first glance, with a lot happening all the time. So it’s understandable that Zoe is thinking of leaving and going on an adventure, much like Bilbo Baggins.
On the most recent episode of Beyond Paradise, Esther’s teenage daughter, an employee at Martha’s restaurant, confided in her boss that she’s unsure about her future and asked Martha how she figured out her own life path.
She simply said no. Instead, Martha chose to travel alone, and it turned out to be the most fulfilling thing she’d ever done.
She famously met Humphrey, and that changed everything. But her travels also helped her understand herself better, particularly when things got difficult.
She encouraged me to embrace every opportunity, both the positive and negative ones. “Don’t be afraid to take chances and seek out adventure, Zoe,” she said.
Martha made a really compelling case, and Zoe quickly started looking into vacation spots. She began researching places like Dolphin Cove, the Australian beach town featured in the TV show Return to Paradise – and was later spotted checking it out on her phone.
Although the fictional location of Dolphin Cove doesn’t exist, the movie was actually filmed in the Illawarra region of Australia, south of Sydney, and on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
But will Zoe be packing her knapsack and heading there?

Okay, so Zoe was this close to finally sharing her plans with her mum, but she totally lost her nerve. It happened right after a really uncomfortable run-in with Archie and his new girlfriend, and then her mum, Esther, said something about her always being her “little baby girl.” Honestly, after that, Zoe just didn’t have the strength to go through with it. It was a tough moment, and you could really feel her hesitation.
Esther has been going through a difficult period recently, but she’d never let anyone know it. It’s just been the two of them for a long time, and she’s worried about how her mother would cope if Zoe were to move out.
Right now, she’s decided to postpone her travel plans, but the topic will probably come up again. Zoe’s mom is likely to overreact – she usually shows affection that way – but Zoe will need to move out and become independent eventually.

Will she be stopping by to see Mackenzie and the others? Maybe she could get a job with Daisy at the beach club to help fund her trip.
Before she makes it there, however, she’s going to need to break it to her mum.
Over to you, Zoe.
