Beyond Paradise season 4 confirms guest stars including EastEnders and Gavin & Stacey favourites in new first look

The fourth season of Beyond Paradise is almost here! As usual, several guest actors will be joining the show as the police in Shipton Abbott tackle a new set of puzzling mysteries.

The cast features returning actors like Phil Daniels, known for his role as Marvellous Harris in season one of the show, and Melanie Walters, famous from Gavin & Stacey, though her part in the new season is currently a secret.

As a film buff, I’m really intrigued by the premise! It seems like this story dives into a world where reality and legend get mixed up. The team is investigating the death of a writer who somehow predicted they’d be the ones to investigate – talk about creepy! Plus, there’s this strange event involving ‘Dark Morris’ dancing that goes wrong, a lost treasure map that resurfaces, and rumors of a vengeful mermaid haunting the coast. It sounds like a wild ride blending mystery, folklore, and maybe even a little horror!

Humphrey and Martha begin their life as a married couple, looking for a new place to live. Meanwhile, Humphrey faces a difficult choice that could have lasting consequences for everyone at the station.

I’m really curious to see if the show will revisit the fostering storyline. After the emotional gut punch of Rosie’s departure last season – saying goodbye to her when she reunited with her birth mother was brutal – I’m wondering if these characters will be willing to open their hearts to another child, or even consider permanent adoption. It felt like such a difficult experience for them, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can handle that again.

Season 4 will feature guest appearances by Susan George, known for her role in ‘Straw Dogs’, Colin McFarlane (‘The War Between the Land and the Sea’), Michael Cochrane (‘The Archers’), Vincent Franklin (‘The Thick of It’), Alex Macqueen (‘The Inbetweeners’), and Tristan Sturrock (‘Poldark’).

The cast also includes Andrea Lowe, known for her work in ‘Sherwood’; Rachel Cassidy, famous from ‘Downton Abbey’; Emily Stott, who appeared in ‘Foundation’; Rina Mahoney from ‘Happy Valley’; Susan Penhaligon of ‘A Fine Romance’; James Clay, recognized from ‘MobLand’; Kenneth Collard, who starred in ‘Cuckoo’; and Narinda Samra, known for her role in ‘Ackley Bridge’.

Season four of Beyond Paradise will bring back familiar faces including Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford, Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd, Felicity Montagu as Margo Martins, Jamie Bamber as Archie Hughes, Melina Sinadinou as Zoe Williams, and Eva Feiler as Lucy Thompson.

Following a health issue last season, Anne received good news and is now doing well. Will she use this fresh start to begin dating again?

You know, I’m still picking up on a lot of tension between Esther and Archie. Even though she keeps trying to distance herself from him, I really get the sense there’s something unresolved between them. It’s like she’s pushing him away, but maybe that’s because there’s still something there!
