Great news for fans! Season four of Beyond Paradise is officially coming to BBC screens soon, and we now have a confirmed release date.
Following on from Death in Paradise, this new series sees DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and his fiancée Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton) start a fresh life in the charming Devon village of Shipton Abbott. Humphrey takes a job with the local police, and Martha finally gets to fulfill her dream of opening a café.
As a huge fan, I’m so excited to share that the fourth season kicks off with the first episode airing at 8 PM on Friday, March 27th. You can catch it on BBC One or stream it on BBC iPlayer, and new episodes will drop weekly after that!
The third season ended with Humphrey and Martha sadly saying goodbye to their foster daughter, Rosie. However, the season also hinted at a hopeful future for the couple, as they began to consider starting a family together after learning they might not be able to have children naturally.

The new season follows the team as they investigate several strange cases: a novelist who predicted their own death, a seemingly joyful ‘Dark Morris’ celebration that takes a disturbing turn, a long-lost treasure map that resurfaces unexpectedly, and reports of a vengeful mermaid spotted off the coast. The line between reality and local legends becomes increasingly blurred during their investigations.
Early previews of the new season revealed that popular actors from EastEnders and Gavin & Stacey will be making guest appearances.
I’m really excited to hear that Phil Daniels is joining the cast of Beyond Paradise! You might remember him as Kevin Wicks from EastEnders, but he was fantastic as Marvellous Harris in the first season of the show, and I’m glad they’ve brought him back.
Phil will be joined by Melanie Walters, the actress famous for her role as Gwen in the popular show Gavin & Stacey. However, it’s currently unknown what role she’ll be playing.
Beyond Paradise season four arrives on BBC One and iPlayer on Friday 27 March at 8pm.
