
This week, Polyphony Digital will release a major update for Gran Turismo 7 on both PS5 and PS4. The free ‘Spec III’ update will arrive alongside the ‘Power Pack,’ the game’s first downloadable content that players will need to purchase.
The first downloadable content for the racing game, called the Power Pack, will be available on December 4th. Series creator Kaz Yamauchi recently announced on Twitter that update 1.19, known as the GT7 Spec III update, will arrive next week, following a post over the weekend.
Gran Turismo 7 updates usually come out on Wednesdays or Thursdays, and the exact day can vary based on where you are in the world.
The free Spec III update adds the following to Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 and PS4:
- Two new tracks (Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve)
- Eight new cars
- Dunlop tires
- Data Logger
- Collector Level cap increased
- Unlimited car invitations in Brand Central
- Enhanced Weekly Challenges
- New opening movie
- New Menu Book Seasonal Menu
- New events in Circuit Experience
- New Curations in Scapes
- Improvements to online races
The Power Pack DLC is coming to PlayStation 5, but its price hasn’t been announced yet. This large update will add 50 new races to the game, featuring long-distance endurance events that can last up to a full day.
