Billie Eilish, Jimmy Fallon Revealed as Part of Survivor 50 in Trailer

You’ve never seen Survivorlike this before.

The first trailer for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans debuted on December 17th, immediately following the finale of season 49 where Savannah Louie was crowned the winner. Host Jeff Probst announced that Savannah and Rizo Velovic will be competing alongside The White Lotus creator Mike White and Cirie Fields for the title of Sole Survivor in this special 50th season of the CBS series.

In a preview clip, Cirie, who is back for her fifth season, explained, ‘It feels like I have some things left to prove after 20 years.’

Survivor alum Q Burdette is known for his lively personality, and he came onto the scene declaring his intention to win at all costs. He jokingly threatened to disrupt everyone’s lives, saying he’d “cancel everything” – from holidays and vacations to even doctor’s appointments.

The new season will also feature exciting collaborations with several big names. Players can look forward to an advantage inspired by Billie Eilish, called the “Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol,” and a special challenge involving Jimmy Fallon. Zac Brown and MrBeast are also set to make guest appearances.

Before season 49 airs, Jeff announced that season 50 will feature some exciting changes. Returning players like Ozzy Lusth, Aubry Bracco, and Rick Devens will be competing, and this time, fans will have a say in how the game is played. They’ll get to decide things like what immunity idols and advantages are like, and even whether or not to include the fire-making challenge.

In the trailer, Jeff surprised the castaways by announcing that fan votes would directly influence the game, saying, “The fans voted on things that impact this game.”

As for why Survivor decided to shake up the game and give a voice to the fans?

Jeff explained to Men’s Journal in September that he envisioned the game evolving and moving forward, but acknowledged some fans might prefer a return to earlier styles or themes.

He explained that the outcome would determine what happened with project 51. They planned to release project 50 first to gauge fan response, and then use that feedback to decide on the next steps.

And Jeff is open to whether fans want to “go back old school” or “go bursting into the future.”

He finished by saying they had the freedom to approach things however they liked. He described their work as a constantly evolving and enjoyable challenge.

Who will be the ultimate Survivor? We’ll find out when season 50 premieres on February 25, 2026. Until Jeff Probst says, “Survivors ready!” check out the list of contestants competing next season.
