According to a prediction by Galaxy Research, Bitcoin (BTC) might reach over $150,000 in the first half of 2025. The firm also speculates that Bitcoin could potentially surge even higher, up to $185,000, by the end of 2025.

According to Galaxy Research’s team, headed by Alex Thorn, the primary driver behind their prediction is an anticipated surge in adoption from institutions, businesses, and governments. Moreover, they forecasted that Bitcoin could potentially represent around 20% of the gold market’s total value.

Over the course of its lifetime, Bitcoin has consistently grown at a rate surpassing all other investment sectors, most notably the S&P 500 and gold. This rapid growth is expected to persist through 2025. Furthermore, it’s predicted that Bitcoin will make up approximately 20% of Gold’s total market value by this year.

Can BTC soar to 200k?

Several other cryptocurrency companies, including Bitwise, Blockware, and Steno Research, have projected that Bitcoin will reach approximately $200,000 by the end of 2025. According to Bitwise’s forecast, this prediction is based on an expected accelerated adoption of the world’s largest cryptocurrency.

Blockware takes a daring stance, with their predictions ranging from $150,000 in a bear market scenario to $225,000 and $400,000 for more optimistic outlooks. These projections are derived from the rate of Bitcoin adoption and the potential establishment of a U.S. Bitcoin Strategic Reserve (SBR).

It’s worth noting that Bitcoin showed strong performance throughout President Trump’s term. This finding has further fueled optimistic predictions about Bitcoin, as acknowledged by the founder of CryptoQuant. In his words:

“Trump will make #Bitcoin strong.”

Some analysts’ positions in the Options market hinted at a potential rise towards $150k, but the majority of wagers were centered around $120k based on Open Interest.

Currently, as I check the market, notable strike prices that options traders are focusing on for potential future price movements of my crypto investment include $110,000, $100,000, $130,000, and $150,000. These levels appear to be in ascending order.

While it was happening, Bitcoin saw a 5% increase following its dip to $91.5k, but then leveled off and stopped at around $97k in the price graph.

Given that the recent market movements seem to be influenced significantly by liquidity searches, those substantial short positions (noticeable, vivid yellow area) at around $98,000 might soon attract the market. If this happens, the price could either reach $98,000 or revisit the psychologically significant $100,000 level.
