In a delightful display of fiscal gluttony, the $8.8 billion mark represents a $2.2 billion surge from last week’s $6.6 billion, all thanks to the acquisition of an additional 190,500 ETH tokens. This, dear reader, is what we call “making money while you sleep.”
“We’re making moves with the kind of liquidity that Wall Street could only dream of,” Chairman Lee boasted. It’s all part of the company’s quest to snag a piece of the 5% of all ETH pie, which, spoiler alert, could soon be more valuable than gold-at least, according to Lee’s latest crystal ball gazing.
The latest spree is backed by a posse of investors, including the ever-so-savvy Cathie Wood from Ark Invest, Founders Fund, and Pantera Capital. As for Lee, he insists that Ethereum is a “macro trade,” forecasting that Wall Street and artificial intelligence (AI) will soon waltz over to the blockchain and make finance a whole lot more exciting. Who’s betting on that one?
