In Black Clover Chapter 381, titled “The Ultimate Mage”, Yuno advances once more following Asta’s injury, now also possessing Asta’s anti-magic abilities. As the Paladins become increasingly strong and menacing, and Morris, a key antagonist in this final arc, aims to thwart Mimosa, characters from the Diamond Kingdom reappear. Their timely arrival allows them to momentarily contain Morris, who was initially a traitor from the Diamond Kingdom. This provides Mimosa with the opportunity to nurse Asta back to health.
The First-Ever Introduced Kingdom After the Clover Kingdom Returns
The most recent appearance of the Diamond Kingdom in the manga was in Chapter 229 of Black Clover, published in November 2019. Back then, it was disclosed that the Spade Kingdom had invaded and seized control over a significant part of the Diamond Kingdom’s territory. Although the details surrounding the main characters involved in the conflict between the Clover and Diamond Kingdoms, including Mars who aimed to reform his nation following an encounter with Asta, were not thoroughly explained, they have since been reintroduced into the storyline. In the latest development, Mars is leading key figures from the Diamond Kingdom, including Lotus, Ladros, Fana, Mareilla, and even Fanzell Kruger, one of Asta’s first mentors, into the action once more.
Despite it being almost a decade since the Diamond Kingdom last interacted with Asta significantly, their reappearance in the final arc carries great weight. This underscores the enduring impact of Asta’s storyline within Black Clover and the lives he’s affected. Accompanied by these returnees, recent episodes have also resurrected earlier adversaries like the Elf Tribe, now uniting to aid Asta against a shared foe. The past three instalments can be seen as a mirror of the series, recalling characters transformed by Asta, a subtle realization of his aspiration to become Wizard King and win respect from others. Although their current battle roles might seem minor, their presence is profoundly significant because they are assisting Asta in rising again, reshaping him to confront a powerful adversary and ultimately triumph.
