As I stand by, witnessing the climax of “Black Clover” manga unfold and its surge in popularity, I can’t help but notice the subdued celebration surrounding its tenth anniversary. This captivating series first graced the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump back in February 2015, and due to the author’s health concerns, it later moved to Jump GIGA in 2023. It had been a year since the manga dived into its final arc, with the climactic battle edging ever closer to its resolution.
The shift to Jump GIGA brought about a quarterly release schedule, ensuring at least two to three chapters per season. Given the immense popularity of “Black Clover”, the muted anniversary festivities were a letdown, as neither the magazine nor the mangaka made any official announcement. However, it seems we were all just a little early in our anticipation, as the wait was merely temporary.
After the spring edition of GIGA was published, the magazine chose to honor this significant achievement. This upcoming celebration may be overdue, but it promises to be extraordinary. In addition to the long-awaited announcement of a new Black Clover anime series after four years, 2025 has been an exciting year for fans. The anime continuation will pick up from the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc, with the Magic Knights launching an attack on the enemy nation to rescue captains Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance, as well as defeat the Dark Triad. Fans in Japan can expect the Summer 2025 issue to be released on August 12th, 2025. Given the time difference, American fans can look forward to accessing the chapters a day earlier, on August 11th, 2025.
Black Clover Will Celebrate the 10th Anniversary With Several Projects
To celebrate Black Clover’s 10th Anniversary, it will be part of Jump GIGA 2025 SUMMER with several projects lined up. These include:
1. Can Badge Lottery – A lottery where you can win special collector’s badges.
2. A5 Clear Stand with Lead Color Page – This is a clear folder for your manga with a lead color page.
3. Double-Sided Poster featuring the cover art – A poster that showcases both sides of the cover art.
4. 17 Special Illustrations by various Mangaka – Exclusive illustrations created by 17 different manga artists for this special event.— Shonen Jump News (@WSJ_manga) July 3, 2025
As a passionate fan of Shonen Jump, I can’t help but be thrilled by the tradition among its mangakas to pay tribute to other series by crafting their characters in unique and distinctive art styles. This event has brought together some of the biggest names in the industry, including Eiichiro Oda (One Piece), Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto), Tite Kubo (Bleach), Gege Akutami (Jujutsu Kaisen), Kohei Horikoshi (My Hero Academia), and Koyoharu Gotouge (Demon Slayer), to name a few. It’s an incredible opportunity to witness these masterful artists showcasing their skills in a fresh and exciting way!
In the next installment, the narrative will pick up post-cliffhanger from Chapter 380, where Asta tumbles during his final fight against Lucius. Despite Ryuga aiding Asta in identifying the villain’s vulnerability, their combined Magic Knight and devil forces sustain mortal wounds due to a brief pause in battle. Immobilized, Asta hands over his Demon Dweller sword to his comrade and adversary, Yuno, leaving a multitude of queries unresolved. Alone against the antagonist, Yuno intends to vanquish the foe with Asta’s backing, setting the stage for an eagerly awaited showdown between Yuno and the series’ final villain in the Summer 2025 release.
