For the last few years, Black Clover has been wrapping up its story, and it looks like the end is coming up faster than many fans expect. The manga took a break from Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine three years ago, switching to a new schedule of releasing chapters only four times a year. Now, it appears the series will likely conclude in 2026.
The manga Black Clover is coming back for a final arc, called “Super Climax,” in Shueisha’s Jump GIGA magazine this May. While updates have been announced before over the past year, this one feels like the true ending. With a new season of the anime planned for later this year and further updates scheduled for Spring 2026, this new edition could very well be the final chapter of the Black Clover manga.
Black Clover Might End in May 2026
The manga Black Clover will be back with a new installment on May 1st in Japan. However, this release is a bit different from previous updates. Unlike before, it’s not yet known if it will be multiple chapters, and it will also include a special interview with Gakuto Kajiwara, the voice actor for Asta. This feels like a fitting addition for the manga’s finale rather than a typical update.
The series feels like it’s ending because the core story has already concluded with the defeat of Lucius Zogratis. While a few important plot points still need to be resolved, the main narrative arc is complete. This current arc will likely serve as the final chapter, though fans are hoping for a short epilogue sometime this summer.
How Will Black Clover End?

Now that a new season of the Black Clover anime is expected this fall, it seems the manga will likely conclude beforehand. The series will either end with the release this May, or officially this summer – potentially wrapping up the rivalry between Asta and Yuno in a final showdown. Either way, Black Clover will join other long-running series that have finished their run in Shueisha’s Jump magazines. Fans are hoping this ending will be more satisfying than some other recent manga finales.
The final arc of Black Clover has been going strong with its release in Jump GIGA. However, over the past year, the story felt rushed, quickly resolving plot points that had been developing for years. This seems to be done to ensure the manga concludes before the new anime episodes air. Now is a good time to prepare for the ending – you can read the series on Viz Media’s digital Shonen Jump or Shueisha’s MangaPlus.
