Black Clover Recruits One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen Creators and More for New Crossover

After several long years of anticipation, fans of “Black Clover” can now rejoice as rumors indicate that the series is set to make a comeback with a new season. This news follows nearly four years of silence from Pierrot and Shueisha, but the recent update has brought immense relief to fans, even if it was overdue. Interestingly, the reported return of “Black Clover’s” anime coincides with its 10th anniversary, and it appears that the celebrations don’t stop there.

As an observer, I’m thrilled to share that, as per a recent post by @WSJ_manga, the acclaimed manga “Black Clover” is set to commemorate a decade since its serialization in the Summer 2025 issue of Jump Giga. This special edition will hit the stands on August 12th, 2025. The news of “Black Clover’s” anime returning for another season has already sent fans into a frenzy, but what truly excites us is the upcoming 10th anniversary celebrations. These festivities promise to be extraordinary as they will feature exclusive anniversary artwork by renowned mangakas such as Gege Akutami, Eiichiro Oda, and Kohei Horikoshi. Their unique art styles, seen in “Jujutsu Kaisen,” “One Piece,” and “My Hero Academia” respectively, will breathe new life into the characters of “Black Clover.

Despite Black Clover’s recent transition to Jump Giga, it’s astonishing that the manga has been running for a decade now. Notably, even well-loved series like Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia, which concluded their stories last year around this time, have not lasted as long as Black Clover. However, given that Black Clover is approaching its conclusion, it won’t be much longer before fans witness Asta becoming the Wizard King. This makes the anime comeback and 10th anniversary celebrations even more significant, as the series may not have many major anniversaries left after this one.

Regarding the collaboration itself, it’s truly thrilling that Eiichiro Oda will be creating a tribute to “Black Clover”. Notably, Yuki Tabata has previously drawn Luffy, but this could be the first time the creator of “One Piece” draws anything related to “Black Clover”. Recently, Oda has been amazing fans with beautiful color spreads and volume covers, so it will be intriguing to see what he creates for the anniversary art. It will also be fascinating to witness Gege Akutami’s interpretation of “Black Clover”, as Akutami’s artistic style is markedly different from that of the former creator.

Regarding Kohei Horikoshi, now that “My Hero Academia” has come to an end and he finds himself with more free time, he’s been wowing fans with incredible illustrations over the past year. His homage to “Black Clover” is no exception, and it’s clear that this tribute will live up to expectations. It looks like August 12th promises to be an exceptional day for “Black Clover” enthusiasts.
