Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Black Clover manga. The popular manga series Black Clover, created by Yuki Tabata, will continue its final battle against Lucius Zogratis with three new chapters releasing on October 31st, 2025. Lucius has taken control of Julius Novachrono and absorbed the power of the devil Lucifero, making him incredibly powerful. He’s also connected to the Grimoire Towers, giving him access to an endless supply of magic. As Yuno and Asta prepare for their ultimate showdown, the series is nearing its long-awaited ending. The final arc began in August 2022 with chapter 332, following the intense Spade Kingdom Raid.
Because of the author Tabata’s health, Black Clover moved from Weekly Shonen Jump to Jump GIGA in December 2023. New chapters now come out a few times each quarter, meaning fans have to wait a bit longer between releases. However, it’s worth it! The chapters are now fully colored and packed with exciting twists, and the artwork has been incredible. Many fans consider the final arc of Black Clover to be one of the best in Shonen manga, and it keeps getting even better.
Black Clover Delivers One of the Most Satisfying Final Arcs in Shonen History
Many action-packed Shonen anime and manga series struggle with their final storylines. These arcs often become overly complicated with numerous battles and unexpected turns, which doesn’t always satisfy fans. Often, the endings feel hurried and don’t deliver a strong conclusion, leaving viewers feeling unfulfilled. This has happened with popular series like Naruto and Bleach, as well as more recent hits such as Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, and Jujutsu Kaisen. While these endings aren’t necessarily bad, certain choices left fans disappointed. For instance, the creator of Bleach experienced health problems and had to end the series sooner than intended, resulting in some unresolved plot points.
I’ve been following Black Clover from the start, and honestly, it just keeps getting better! The final arc isn‘t flawless, but it’s delivering some seriously epic battles and moving the story forward at a great pace. When Lucius took over Julius, that was a total game-changer – I knew things were about to get intense! And they did! The fight against the Paladins was brutal, but it was awesome seeing so many characters get their moment to shine, like Nacht and the Silva siblings. It’s been a wild ride so far!
The manga delved deeper into the story’s universe by revealing the Land of the Sun, Yami Sukehiro’s home. The focus then shifted to the central conflict, highlighting the series’ main characters, Asta and Yuno. Yuno has even acquired the power of Anti-Magic, which Asta previously shared with him. Overall, this story arc has been very well-received, and with Asta now recovered, he’s ready to rejoin the battle and prevent Lucius from gaining the upper hand. The fight will continue in the Fall 2025 issue of Jump GIGA, but the story isn’t finished yet.
Black Clover Has Several Loose Ends to Resolve Before Its Finale
Even though the manga is incredibly popular right now, even as it nears the end, a few plot points still need to be resolved. One major mystery is Asta’s father – we know everything about Yuno’s family, but only Asta’s mother has been revealed. Also, it’s unclear what will happen to Julius, and simply defeating Lucius might not be enough to save him, considering everything that’s happened so far. While it’s likely Lucius will be defeated – that’s typical for these kinds of stories – the series will then focus on who will become the next Wizard King.
One key question remaining is whether the Clover Kingdom will rely on promising new knights like Asta and Yuno, or continue to depend on seasoned leaders such as Yami and Fuegoleon. It’s also crucial that the threat of the devils is fully eliminated to prevent others from misusing their power, like the Zogratis siblings. While the final chapter’s release date is still unknown, it likely will provide answers to many lingering questions. Fortunately, the author, Tabata, has switched to a slower, quarterly release schedule, giving him more time to create a satisfying conclusion without overworking himself, so we can expect a well-developed ending.
