Black Mirror season 7 release date and more cast confirmed – watch the trailer now

Stepping back in time to reminisce, I’m excited about the upcoming Season 7 of Black Mirror. For the very first time in its history, this season will present a direct continuation of an already-aired episode, and that’s none other than the USS Callister! Fans like me can hardly wait for our journey back to that spacecraft.

In simple terms, Cristin Milioti, who played the character Penguin in a previous production, has been confirmed to return to that role (Nanette Cole). She will be joined by her fellow actors Jimmi Simpson, Milanka Brooks, Osy Ikhile, and Billy Magnussen.

In a chat with TUDUM regarding the upcoming season, Brooker mentioned: “This time around, we have crafted six episodes, out of which two are more like full-length features. Some of these episodes delve into dark themes, while others bring humor, and yet others evoke strong emotions.

He went on to explain that the stories are essentially science fiction, yet they still contain quite a few unsettling elements. These disturbances might not be immediately recognizable as typical horror, but they’re certainly present,” or “He further elaborated that while these tales are primarily sci-fi, they do incorporate some genuinely unnerving events. However, the frightening aspects may not always align with traditional horror movie tropes.

The teaser unveils a number of fresh faces joining the Black Mirror clan, such as Michele Austin, Ben Bailey Smith, Asim Chaudhry, Josh Finan, James Nelson-Joyce, Will Poulter, Jay Simpson, and Michael Workéyè.

Previously mentioned, the cast for Black Mirror’s seventh season includes Awkwafina (Luck is on Our Side!), Peter Capaldi (Criminal Background Check), Emma Corrin (Deadpool and Wolverine), Rashida Jones (Sunshine), Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids), Issa Rae (Barbie Doll), Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish) and Harriet Walter (Brian and Maggie).
