In a cosmic conflict, the Imperial four-part event series by Jonathan Hickman, Iban Coello, and Federico Vicentini portrays a situation where Black Panther is falsely accused of murdering the son of Earth’s mightiest superhero. Amidst this chaos, various empires are in disarray due to the assassination of galactic leaders. Although the perpetrator of these crimes has been unveiled to readers of Imperial, many characters remain unaware of the details. This misunderstanding leads to Black Panther and Wakanda being labeled as prime suspects. Subsequently, a spin-off series unfolds, following Black Panther on his quest for truth and clear his name.

Marvel shared a sneak peek of the first issue of “Imperial War: Black Panther” by Victor LaValle, Jonathan Hickman, Cafu, David Curiel, and Ariana Maher’s VC. The story finds Black Panther engaged in a battle against Hulk and Brawn (Amadeus Cho). Hulk’s son, Hiro-Kala, one of the slain Galactic leaders along with Emperor J’Son, Star-Lord’s father, was murdered. The murderer donned the Vibranium armor of Wakanda, leading many to suspect T’Challa, the Black Panther, as the culprit. However, it turns out that he isn’t responsible, but convincing an enraged Hulk seeking revenge is another story.

Black Panther Has to Convince Hulk That He Didn’t Kill His Son

Skrulls encircle Black Panther, Hulk, and Amadeus Cho following a group’s defection from the Kree/Skrull Alliance. An assault on the Galactic Council by a Wakandan assassin led to Emperor Hulkling’s disappearance. Since he was the one keeping the Kree and Skrull from tearing each other apart, this fragile alliance between the groups has collapsed. Instead of fighting each other, Black Panther and Hulk will need to join forces just to survive.





As a movie reviewer, I find myself drawn to delve into the intriguing world of “Black Panther: World of Wakanda”. T’Challa and Amadeus Cho grapple with trying to reason with the unyielding Hulk, yet their efforts seem futile. However, it’s Amadeus who notices a subtle detail – the Skrulls are cloaked in unfamiliar attire, neither standard Skrull uniforms nor those of their usual adversaries, the Rigellians or Hatut Zeraze. This revelation hints at deceitful machinations afoot, possibly with a Skrull posing as a Wakandan assassin.

The grandmasterminds behind this chaos are none other than the Grandmaster and Maximus of the Inhumans, masterfully orchestrating events that have plunged these empires into war. With T’Challa and Wakanda’s reputation at stake, it falls upon Black Panther and Wakanda Prime to clear their names before any more blood is shed. The stakes are high, and the tension is palpable as we journey through this thrilling narrative.

In the opening act of “Imperial War: Black Panther” #1, T’Challa is falsely accused of triggering a full-scale galactic conflict via assassinations. Before he can identify the real culprit, he must first endure a ferocious attack from the World-Breaker Hulk and Amadeus Cho. Meanwhile, his spaceship is plummeting towards disaster! Yet another perilous day in the life of the Black Panther!

Following the conclusion of the event at Imperial, five new series are set to spin off, one of which centers around Black Panther. These new series include “Planet She-Hulk”, “Nova: Centurion”, “Black Panther: Intergalactic”, “Exiles”, and “Imperial Guardians”. The release date for “Black Panther: Intergalactic” is set for December, but the creative team for the book has not been revealed yet. Fans can anticipate that the events of “Imperial War: Black Panther” #1 will influence “Black Panther: Intergalactic” and act as a precursor to the new series. It seems that the other one-shots from “Imperial War” are also laying the groundwork for these upcoming comics.
