505 Games and MercurySteam are bringing the dark fantasy action game, Blades of Fire, to PC via Steam on May 14th. The release will coincide with a major update, version 2.0. Players can try out the first chapter of the game right now with a demo available on Steam.
Blades of Fire was initially released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (through the Epic Games Store) on May 22, 2025.
Here is an overview of the game and version 2.0 update, via 505 Games:
About
You are Aran de Lira, the final blacksmith capable of crafting real steel in a land where metal usually crumbles to stone. To survive, you’ll need to be careful, learn how things work, and truly master the weapons you make.
Battles are strategic, impactful, and don’t offer second chances. Weapons are carefully crafted and change permanently based on how you use them. Success depends on knowing your opponent and mastering the weapon you’ve created.
Designed for players who value atmosphere, challenge, and consequence over speed and spectacle.
