When BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X launches, it will already include bonus content featuring characters from Dead Cells and ICEY. This content was previously available as downloadable content for the PC version of BlazBlue: Entropy Effect, but will be included in the new release at no extra cost. Publisher Astrolabe Games confirmed to Gematsu that players won’t need to download any updates to access this extra content.
Here is an overview of the content, via Astrolabe Games:
Okay, so this is awesome! As a Dead Cells and ICEY fan, I’m super hyped to hear that the Beheaded and ICEY are going to be free characters you can play right from the start. You’ll have to beat some special levels designed after their games to unlock them, which sounds like a fun challenge!
In BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X, The Beheaded plays just like in Dead Cells, offering complex and adaptable combat. Players can switch weapons to use favorites from the original game and mix up attacks for varied strategies. ICEY, however, stands out with a unique resource system and look, and her special stage even brings the original game’s self-aware storytelling style to life with full voice acting.
The fighting game BlazBlue: Entropy Effect will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on February 12th. A demo is currently available for PlayStation 5 and Switch players.
