Bleach Returns for the Anime’s Final Season in 2026: First Trailer Released

I’ve been waiting for this! Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is set to return for its final season next year, and they just dropped the first trailer. It’s been amazing to see Bleach make such a successful comeback – it’s definitely one of the best revivals from Shonen Jump recently. This return finally gives us the anime adaptation of the arc that was missing from Tite Kubo’s original manga, meaning fans like me are finally going to see Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends take on Yhwach’s forces in what looks like the epic conclusion to this long battle.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and a new trailer for the anime’s final season just dropped at Jump Festa 2026 in Japan. Shueisha is showcasing the series as part of the event, giving viewers a sneak peek at what to expect in the concluding episodes. You can watch the action-packed trailer below!

What to Know for Bleach’s Final Season

The next part of the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime, titled The Calamity, will premiere in Japan in July 2026. While international streaming plans haven’t been announced yet, Viz Media has the rights to release it in the United States. This suggests it will likely be available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ when it debuts in Japan. You can currently watch the first three seasons, as well as the original Bleach anime, on those platforms to get caught up.

This final season won’t be easing anyone in – it’s jumping right back into the intense action. Yhwach is more powerful than ever, and Ichigo and his friends are fully joining the battle. Expect incredible fights with Yhwach’s strongest lieutenants, complete with new abilities, transformations, and the kind of explosive action that defined the earlier seasons.

What’s New for Bleach’s Final Season?

Similar to the first three seasons, the final part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will include content not originally featured in Tite Kubo’s manga. Character designer Masashi Kudo hinted at Anime Expo this summer that the anime will expand on Kubo’s ideas, showing scenes he may have envisioned but didn’t include in the manga. We can expect to see more of these kinds of additions this time around.

Kudo added that the new elements in the series are really exciting. He believes even longtime fans who followed Bleach when it was first published will find something fresh, including new characters. Now that the story is nearing its end, he hopes viewers are as eager as he is to see how it all concludes and witness this final chapter.
