It’s been about ten years since the Bleach manga ended, and the anime is finally finishing the story next year. The last part of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc is predicted to be the most thrilling part of the entire series. Although a release date hasn’t been announced yet, excitement for the anime is extremely high, particularly because the manga author, Tite Kubo, has said this final section will include a lot of new content. To generate even more buzz, Bleach recently launched an official YouTube channel to promote the ending. Plus, the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account has hinted at more content to come, sparking a lot of speculation among fans.
The anime might continue releasing new clips on YouTube even after the final episode airs, or this could suggest plans for future anime projects beyond the current story. While fans wait for official news, Masakazu Morita, who voices Ichigo Kurosaki, praised the studio’s decision to involve Tite Kubo, the original creator, in the anime’s production.
Bleach Creator’s Involvement in the Anime Made the Final Arc Even More Special

In a recent interview with J Magazine, Morita discussed the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. He explained that he had valuable conversations with creator Kubo, who shared insights that even the voice actors weren’t aware of. Morita noted that Kubo intentionally included many subtle clues and mysteries throughout Bleach that are revealed gradually over time.
He explained that while he had trouble understanding certain parts of the original story, hearing the explanation directly from Kubo-sensei helped everything click into place and made the story much clearer. He jokingly added that he wished he’d been told some things sooner!
Morita noted that the anime is expanding on the original Bleach manga. He explained that even though the manga is finished, the creator, Kubo, is adding details and scenes in the anime that weren’t shown in the original story.
Tite Kubo has collaborated closely with the animation studio Pierrot for many years to maintain the quality of the anime. While he wasn’t heavily involved at the beginning, Kubo started contributing more ideas and suggestions from the Arrancar arc onward, especially regarding original content. Since the anime’s recent return to adapt the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, he’s been directly supervising storyboarding and even designing new characters.
The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc is especially important because the anime is adding original content and is anticipated to offer a revised version of the manga’s divisive ending. With the story nearing its conclusion, Bleach is likely to make further changes, requiring close collaboration between creator Tite Kubo and the animation studio.
