At the recent New Game+ Showcase, Pokuch and META Publishing unveiled their new open-world survival crafting game, Blind Descent. A trailer for the game has been released and can be viewed below. What makes Blind Descent unique is that it’s set underground on the planet Mars.
The game follows a lone survivor of a disastrous mission who awakens on a strange, alien planet. Initially, the player searches for their lost crew, but soon discovers how to adapt and live peacefully within this new world.
A key part of playing Blind Descent is the Symbiosis System, inspired by the world of Scavengers Reign. Players explore and interact with the environment to uncover the secrets of the game’s world.
You can try out a demo of Blind Descent on Steam right now! The game will be launching into Early Access soon, and the developers estimate it will take about a year to fully finish. They plan to regularly add new content and story elements during this time. The final version of the game will include the complete story and all gameplay features.
You can play Blind Descent on your own, or with a friend in co-op mode. It’s coming to PC (through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
