Blind Side’s Jae Head Shares Update on Quinton Aaron Amid ICU Stay

Jae Head was blindsided by Quinton Aaron’s health update.

The 29-year-old recently shared sad news about his Blind Side co-star, who played Michael Oher in the movie. This came after it was announced that Oher was placed on life support following a collapse at his house.

Jae, the actor who played S.J. Tuohy in the 2009 film, shared on Instagram on January 26th that Quinton is in the hospital’s intensive care unit. According to the post, which included some fun photos of the two as on-screen brothers, Quinton collapsed at home and is seriously ill. Jae described Quinton as a kind and close friend, and asked for thoughts and prayers for him and his family.

One old photo shows Quinton, 41, playfully holding Jae upside down on the set of a show. A newer picture captures them both looking cool and posing with crossed arms on a red carpet.

The actor Will Hancock also mentioned ways fans can offer support to Quinton while he’s going through a tough time.

These statements follow Margarita, Quinton’s wife, telling TMZ on January 26th that the actor from Halfway was put on life support four days after being admitted to the hospital. She explained that she took Quinton to the doctor when he lost feeling in his legs and fell while climbing the stairs, according to the report. Doctors discovered a blood infection after conducting tests, and are continuing to investigate his condition.

TopMob News reached out to a rep for Quinton for comment but has not heard back.

Despite being on life support, Quinton’s wife remains optimistic about his recovery. She explained that he’s currently only needing some assistance with breathing, not full support from the machines.

Margarita described her husband as strong and determined, noting he’s getting better. She expressed her family’s belief that, with God’s help, he will make a full recovery and leave the hospital walking on his own.

I was so shocked to hear that Adam Devine is still dealing with the effects of being hit by a cement truck when he was just 11! It’s incredible how something that happened so long ago can continue to impact someone’s health. I really feel for him and admire his resilience.

“It’s been a really difficult time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the last year, actually.”

The former Kim Possible star shared that a small piece of something became stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll be keeping a close watch on the situation, as their vision is currently normal.

As someone who’s spent years observing what truly matters, I’ve learned life can shift in a heartbeat. This actress recently shared something so profound – she expressed immense gratitude for simply being alive. She talked about her deep love for her daughters, husband, family, and friends, and how she literally saw her life flash before her eyes. It was a powerful reminder to cherish those around you and offer a hug whenever you can. It’s a lesson I always try to live by, and her words really resonated with me – don’t take a single moment for granted.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, surprisingly, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” during interviews, she was criticized online. But instead of just negativity, doctors started commenting, pointing out potential signs of Cushing syndrome – a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Amy to realize she’d received steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She ultimately learned she had a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, and she’s relieved to be healthy. As she shared, getting that diagnosis and knowing she’d be okay was the best news she could have hoped for.

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and noticing her face drooping. Although the symptoms eventually passed, she went to the hospital for tests. Doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), often called a ‘mini-stroke’.

Further investigation at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side, resulting in full paralysis. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult for him to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, saying it had been a frightening and unexpected situation, but he was going to be okay and she was grateful he was fine.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had previously kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. He asked for aspirin, but lost consciousness before he could take it, and doesn’t remember the next twenty days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home. However, his sister, Deidra Dixon, worried about his condition and took him to the hospital, where doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.

After surgery, twenty days later, on May 4th, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago to begin rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed deep gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC competition show.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. After that, she remembers only darkness, followed by light, which led her to realize she had died that day.

Let me tell you, I was seriously unwell – my body was actually starting to fail. It turns out I had something called rhabdomyolysis, and honestly, it’s your body’s emergency signal – a way of saying, ‘Something is critically wrong and I need to stop!’ It’s a scary thing, but recognizing the signs is so important.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym, followed by intense pain and vomiting. She quickly realized something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery, which she described as incredibly painful. During her recovery, she temporarily lost her ability to speak, often muttering incoherently.

Though she recovered and was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, causing a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia says she has now made a full recovery and is back to 100 percent.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always inspired by stories of resilience, and Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, is a perfect example. She recently shared her incredibly difficult experience with a stroke she suffered back in January of this year. Thankfully, her family was amazing – she says they immediately rushed to her side when she texted them what was happening. It ended up being a longer hospital stay than expected, though, because she was also dealing with some existing health concerns, including lupus and kidney issues. But the good news is, Cori is doing much better now! She’s been working on regaining some motor skills, and overall, she’s feeling great. It’s a powerful reminder to cherish your loved ones and prioritize your health.
