Prepare to face the Lord of Hatred, Mephisto
Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred is the second big expansion for Diablo IV. It includes the previously released Vessel of Hatred content and takes players to a new area called Skovos. The expansion focuses on a dangerous quest to protect Sanctuary from Mephisto, a major villain from the Diablo universe.
This expansion will add two new character classes, lots of new enemies and challenging bosses, a completely redesigned endgame experience, a compelling story, and raise the level cap. You’ll also be able to go fishing, plus enjoy many other new features!
The Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred expansion will be available on April 28, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC (through Steam and Battle.net). To play this expansion, you must already own the base Diablo IV game.
If you buy the Lord of Hatred expansion for Diablo IV, you’ll immediately get access to the Paladin class. The Paladin is already available as part of Season 11, which launched yesterday, December 11, 2025, at 8:30 PM Pacific Time.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred comes in three editions – Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate – each offering different amounts of cosmetic items.
If you buy any edition of Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, you’ll also receive special decorations to use in the Player Housing feature for World of Warcraft.
