Bloober Team’s upcoming game, previously hinted at in April, seems to be called Cronos: Lazarus. The title was spotted in an IGN article listing games featured in their Summer Game Fest coverage, though Bloober Team hasn’t officially announced it yet.
We’re not sure if this is a completely new game or downloadable content for Cronos: The New Dawn, but we’ll find out by the end of this week. The IGN Live event is happening on June 6th and 7th, and it’s likely that Cronos: Lazarus will be revealed during one of the major livestreams – State of Play, Summer Game Fest, or the Xbox Games Showcase – with IGN sharing more details afterward.
When Cronos started hinting at new content, they shared some cryptic messages on social media about “the loop continuing” and “the mystery still being unsolved.” While the game’s main character, Traveler ND-3576, did show up in Fortnite, this appearance wasn’t connected to those earlier hints.
Whatever Cronos: Lazarus turns out to be, it sounds like we’ll know more come the end of the week.
If you missed out on Cronos: The New Dawn, I highly recommend checking it out – it’s one of the best survival horror games available on PS5. Along with the remake of Silent Hill 2, it proves Bloober Team has really improved its skills. They’re now working on both this and a remake of the original Silent Hill, so they have a lot on their plate!
I’ll be playing this, even if it’s just an expansion — I hope for a brand new game, though.
