Do you remember when Bloober Team started a mysterious countdown website at the beginning of the year, promising a reveal on February 15th? The website, with its difficult-to-pronounce address “RemosdNeulSerorehsoOvamCeyerd.com,” has been updated with new text and a voiceover, continuing to build anticipation.
The text hints that certain things remain hidden, simply biding their time. When you press play, you’ll hear a distorted recording of a man reading lines from William Blake’s poem, “The Sick Rose.” He recites: “Thou art sick. Invisible flies in the night. Howling storm has found out thy bed of crimson joy. Dark secret thy life destroy.”
The clues are still a bit unclear, but we’re starting to get a better idea of what’s coming. Bloober Team recently trademarked a title called Onyx: The Dark Grip in Europe this year. This could be the name of their next game, and the title itself might hint at a key element of the story – a hidden secret players will have to deal with.
Bloober Team is currently developing a remake of Silent Hill 1, as well as a new project from the team behind Cronos: The New Dawn (which will also include an Easy mode). They’ve also hinted at Project M, a game that will be exclusive to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. According to studio CEO Piotr Babieno, Project M will feature a unique and innovative approach, specifically designed for Nintendo’s hardware.
He believes fans of games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness will quickly enjoy this new game. Whether we’ll see it revealed soon is uncertain, but since it’s only coming to the Switch 2, it might be showcased at the upcoming Nintendo Direct, which is rumored to be next week. We could even see a reveal trailer soon, followed by more detailed information on February 15th. Keep an eye out for further announcements!
