Blue Protocol Star Resonance: Goblin Lair Dungeon Guide

In Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, the Goblin Lair is the very first chaotic realm dungeon players will experience.

As the first dungeon, it’s relatively simple. However, it’s also one of the best places to find rare Gauntlets and Earrings! If you’re looking to upgrade your gear, this is a great spot to farm.

This guide covers all the important strategies and mechanics you’ll need to succeed in this dungeon and defeat the boss.

Goblin Lair Dungeon Guide | Blue Protocol: Star Resonance

Getting through this dungeon is generally straightforward. Pay attention when you enter the first room with enemies – you’ll find that the strongest enemy and one of the doors have the same symbol.

To open the special door, you’ll need to defeat the enemy that has the matching symbol. Luckily, there’s only one of each – one enemy with a symbol and one door with a symbol – so the dungeon is pretty straightforward.

You’ll also find some traps along the way. The first one you’ll face is a series of tornadoes, as pictured above.

Use your Phantom Dash to avoid the tornadoes and get to the other side of the hall. Then, quickly defeat the Phantom Caster Goblin creating them to make them stop.

Next, you’ll encounter another trap guarded by a fire-breathing Goblin. Just like before, use your Phantom Dash to dodge the flames and get to the Goblin. Attacking it will stop the fire.

Finally, you’ll come to a room filled with falling rocks. Like before, use your Phantom Dash to avoid them and attack the Goblin who caused the rocks to fall.

Even on the hardest difficulty, the dungeon will generally play out the same way. But to complete it on Master difficulty, you’ll also need to collect 1200 Survey Points within a 9-minute time limit.

Okay, so I’ve learned a really cool trick! If you want to get a good start, try to gather all the enemies from the first couple of rooms into one big group. Then, use that pedestal – it turns them into these ‘Void’ enemies. They get tougher, which makes things a little harder, but you earn way more Survey Points when you finally take them down. It’s totally worth it!

Just a heads-up, if you pull this off smoothly, you can actually skip a whole room full of enemies later on in the dungeon! Trust me, it’s a lifesaver, especially if you’re playing on Master difficulty. I highly recommend trying to do it!

Either way, you’ll eventually reach the boss, Shuro Barot… so let’s talk about its mechanics!

Shuro Barot | Boss Mechanics

Anti-Tank Attack

One of the first things you’ll notice about this boss is a powerful attack it uses occasionally on a single player. Usually, that player is the tank – the one responsible for taking damage.

You’ll know this attack is coming because a red circle will appear around the player it’s targeting. To avoid getting knocked down, the targeted player needs to use a Phantom Dash just as the attack begins. Time it right, and you’ll stay standing!

Elemental Shield Goblins

During the battle, Shuro Barot will call in many Goblins to fill the arena. Two of these Goblins will be protected by a noticeable elemental shield, similar to what you see in the example.

Players must work together to defeat the Goblins and collect the elemental shields they leave behind – you’ll need those shields for what comes next!

The Goblins will eventually charge at you, and you’ll see red lines on the ground as a warning. If you’ve already defeated the two Goblins with shields, there’s a safe spot you can stand in to completely avoid the charge.

If you didn’t defeat both Goblins, you won’t create a safe opening. You could try reaching the arena’s edge, but that might not work as the fight goes on. Otherwise, focus on reducing the damage you take!

Lightning Orb

Immediately after dealing with the elemental shields, Shuro Barot will shoot a large lightning orb at a random player. Your team needs to use those same elemental shields to bounce the orb around – it’s similar to a game of ping pong.

Your main objective is to attack Shuro Barot’s weak spot on his back. To do this, continuously pass the lightning orb back and forth until you get a clear shot!

On Normal and Hard difficulties, one player can handle this entire challenge by themselves. The orb moves slowly enough that you can use Phantom Dash to stay with it and finish the sequence alone.

This challenge is significantly more difficult on Master difficulty. You’ll need strong teamwork and coordination of elemental shields to succeed!

Be careful not to bounce the orb off Shuro Barot’s shield or out of the arena, or the entire team will be defeated!

Good news is, Shuro Barot is open to damage throughout the whole encounter. Players who aren’t focusing on the elemental shields can keep doing regular damage, meaning your damage dealers don’t necessarily need to help with the shields.

Lightning Pizza

Right after dealing with the lightning orb, Shuro Barot begins dividing the arena into blue sections, one after another.

Stepping on the blue tiles will temporarily prevent you from using your Phantom Dash. You’ll be limited to regular movement and jumping – dashing won’t be possible!

After a brief pause, each part will explode, causing significant damage. They detonate in the same order Shuro Barot created them.

Okay, so I figured out how to skip those exploding floor tiles! Basically, just watch the pattern and step onto a spot that *already* blew up. Seriously, that’s all there is to it!

If you continue playing like this, you’ll quickly overcome Shuro Barot. That covers everything you need to finish the Goblin Lair dungeon in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
