BNB Chain just gave Solana a good ol’ fashioned wedgie in the daily fees department, according to Nansen’s little spreadsheet.
On the 13th, BNB Chain raked in over $5.8 million in fees. Solana? A mere $3.3 million. Ethereum? Not even in the same ballpark. BNB Chain’s like the cool kid at school now.
First time since Halloween 2024 that a blockchain not named Ethereum or Solana was the king of the hill. Bitcoin had its moment, but now it’s BNB’s turn to shine.
PancakeSwap, the DEX that’s all the rage on BNB Chain, totally crushed it on the 13th. It was like the popular kid at the dance – everyone wanted a piece.
And just in time for Valentine’s Day, Changpeng Zhao goes and tells the world his dog’s name is Broccoli. Next thing you know, the internet’s flooded with memecoins named after his furry friend. Zhao’s like, “Whoa, didn’t mean to start a trend!”
BNB Chain’s been on a roll, and it’s not just because of Broccolicoins. It’s been kicking Tron and Ethereum’s butts in daily active addresses. Second place, baby! But don’t get too excited – Solana’s still got 35.8 million addresses. BNB’s got some catching up to do.
On the 9th, BNB Chain was the runner-up in fee revenue. Thanks, “Test” token (TST)! It was supposed to be a little tutorial token, but then traders got ahold of it and – BAM! – $500 million market cap. Until it crashed. Because, you know, it’s a memecoin.
Memecoins: the joke’s on us. They’re basically useless, but everyone loves ’em. Even Trump’s got his own meme tokens. Solana’s been the memecoin king, but BNB Chain’s like, “Hold my beer.”
BNB Chain’s roadmap for 2025? More memes. Because why not?
Oh, and the BNB token? Up 15% in a week. It’s now the fifth-largest crypto by market cap. Take that, Solana’s SOL!
