Right, so the crypto market is still wobbling about like a drunk troll after a pint too many, and even those meme coins – like this BONK thing on the Solana blockchain – aren’t immune. These wild swings are enough to make your stomach churn, but apparently, it hasn’t stopped some folks from throwing their money at it. We’re talking serious buying sprees here. BONK, which, let’s be honest, sounds like something you’d do to someone’s head, is apparently the second-biggest meme coin on Solana after TRUMP coin. Make of that what you will. But the “Smart Money” is buying it. 🤔
Smart Money Are Still Buying BONK (Apparently)
Now, according to some pronouncements on X (formerly known as Twitter, because everything needs a rebrand these days), by “The Solana Post,” BONK is still the darling of those ‘investor’ types who like to think they know what they’re doing. They’re still piling in, apparently. Using data from Stalk Chain (sounds legit 🤨), they reckon BONK is the most popular meme coin with the “Smart Money” set.
Who are these “Smart Money” folks, you ask? Well, they’re the ones who supposedly get in early on tokens that actually do something, other than making people giggle and then lose all their savings. They’ve got a “decent” win rate, which in crypto world probably means they only lose half their money most of the time. They’re the ones buying before the “rally,” which is just another word for “a bunch of other people suddenly decide to buy it too.” So, when these “Smart Money” types start buying, everyone else starts paying attention, because maybe, just maybe, it’s not a complete waste of digital space. Or maybe it is. 🤷♂️
The aforementioned Solana Post claims that BONK has seen over $500,000 of “Smart Money” investment in just three days. That’s a lot of money to spend on something called BONK. Apparently, it’s leaving the likes of POPCAT, WIF (no relation to Wi-Fi, presumably), and PENGU in the dust. Poor PENGU.🐧
So, BONK’s buy value is nearly $600,000, while PENGU and WIF are lagging behind under $500,000, and POPCAT is trailing even further at under $200,000. This buying spree suggests that these “Smart Money” wizards think the BONK price is going to go up, and all that buying will help push it even higher. Or, you know, maybe they just like the name. 🤪
Solana Meme Coins Dominate The Space (Maybe)
Apparently, Solana meme coins like BONK have been a “better investment choice” than the big dogs like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. In the last month, BONK has jumped over 40%, POPCAT is up 43%, and there’s even something called FARTCOIN that’s risen 32%. Don’t ask. Dogwifhat (still not Wi-Fi) has apparently doubled its price. Good for it.
Meanwhile, Dogecoin is only up 25.55% on the month, and Shiba Inu is trailing even further behind with a measly 7.6% increase, according to CoinMarketCap. So, Solana meme coins are the way to go, apparently. Unless they’re not. Crypto, eh? 🤔 Just remember, it’s all fun and games until someone loses their shirt (and their house). 👕🏠
