On their official website, they’ve unveiled a comprehensive list of graphics settings that players can adjust, and also disclosed several accessibility features available for use. Beyond earlier hardware requirements and CEO Randy Pitchford’s insights into the game’s performance, this new information provides a deeper look at the PC version of Borderlands 4.

The graphics settings can vary from fundamental, such as adjusting resolution and display mode, to intricate, offering users a wide array of choices for various types of resolution enhancement, image enhancement, LOD (Level of Detail) options, and post-processing effects. Pitchford stated that if you’re using a computer below the minimum specifications, it should be expected that the game will be virtually unplayable. The fact that the game even runs on your system is surprising, and achieving 55-60 frames per second during heavy combat is truly remarkable, considering the complexity of the engine and what’s happening under the hood.

Initially, the author of the preview had been experiencing software troubles, but he later conceded that the problems stemmed from a faulty power supply unit in his computer. This malfunction caused performance issues for the PC, even though it was equipped with hardware far exceeding the minimum requirements. After repairing the PSU, the game has since operated without any hitches.

The game “Borderlands 4” is set to be released on September 12, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
