A fresh look at one of the four playable characters in Borderlands 4, named Rafa, the machine-enhanced soldier, has been unveiled on the official Borderlands YouTube channel. This newcomer is said to be an excellent choice for beginners due to his unique blend of characteristics from previous vault hunters in the series that fans find appealing.
The trailer describes Rafa as a seasoned combat veteran from BL4, an excellent introduction for FPS players to the series’ intense battles. Watch him skillfully handle the advanced weaponry in his Deadframe exosuit. This former Tediore soldier is prepared for fights at any range; he can slash enemies up close with his twin Arc-Knives, puncture mid-range targets with his Peacebreaker Cannons, or destroy multiple foes with charged rounds from his APOPHIS Lance.
Each character you can play in the upcoming game, Borderlands 4, is scheduled to get a sneak peek before its release. This includes an overview of gameplay, a brief on the character, and a vault hunter profile. So far, only Vex (the Siren) has received a complete unveiling, suggesting that Rafa might be the one revealed next.
In the opening scene, masked character Rafa is seen sprinting, relying on his exosuit for support, as he swiftly cuts through adversaries with weapons called Arc-Knives that emit energy. With fierce slashes and a powerful spin attack capable of covering a broad area, Rafa efficiently dispatches enemies. Additionally, the color of the Arc-Knives adjusts to indicate the element being utilized.
In the ongoing trailer, it becomes clear that his abilities aren’t just limited to close-combat. He is equipped with shoulder-mounted turrets known as “Peacebreaker Cannons” for added firepower against swarms of enemies. Additionally, he wields a hand cannon called the “APOPHIS Lance,” capable of discharging powerful energy blasts to create openings in enemy groups.

Following the hype surrounding Vex in earlier trailers, certain Borderlands enthusiasts found it hard to believe that her screen time had come to an end.

On the other hand, some people were thrilled about Rafa, as they saw him as an entertaining blend of past characters from the series.
