Gearbox has announced the new playable character coming to *Borderlands 4* with the first story expansion, *Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned*. Despite the title, the new Vault Hunter isn’t Ellie-it’s a character named C4SH. You can see a first look at him in the teaser below.
The post includes a picture of his gear, but it mostly suggests how his abilities and skill upgrades will work rather than giving specific details. The character’s use of two weapons fits the gunslinger theme, and there’s also a possible connection to necromancy, which is a cool idea considering Vex’s focus on summoning things.
We’ll need to wait until early 2026 to see how the new content plays. That’s when the Story Pack releases, bringing a dark, cosmic horror story, a new area on the planet Kairos, extra missions, powerful items (Legendaries), character skins, and more.
