Borderlands 4 is now available, but many players are finding the quests and goals to be quite simple and straightforward – the game isn’t known for being overly challenging, especially with its new open-world design. This guide will show you how to unlock the Shut-Eye Keep safehouse in The Howl, an area you’ll likely visit early in the game.
Borderlands 4 – The Howl Shut-Eye Keep Safehouse
The safehouse at The Howl is surprisingly easy to access. You can either fight through the enemies in the main area, or just run past them to get inside. Once you complete the activity, you’ll unlock all the safehouse’s features.
To start, look up near the door for a grapple point. Use it to reach a small room containing the datapad. Once you have the datapad, claim the safehouse by using the nearby console – it works just like any other safehouse in the game.

That’s pretty much everything. You might overlook the datapad, though – it’s tucked away in a corner, so it’s easy to miss if you only look straight ahead.
You’ve unlocked a new fast travel location at this safehouse! You can unlock more like it as you continue playing – they all work the same way. Just keep in mind that the datapad you need to activate the safehouse is always nearby, right around the building itself. If you’re wandering too far, you’ve probably gone the wrong way.
