Following the demonstration of Amon’s combat abilities in Borderlands 4, causing significant damage to enemies (with several nods to God of War), the creative minds at Gearbox Entertainment have delved deeper into these details. For further insights, take a look below.
In a nutshell, Amon’s initial forte, known as Cybernetics, involves summoning weaponry. Although he primarily showcases dual throwing axes in action, he is capable of wielding swords and hammers as well. With the aid of Forge, he can combine these axes and launch them to curve trajectories among numerous opponents. The primary elements are Fire and Ice, but by employing various Augments, you can switch them to Shock and other elements.
Revenge is the second tree in focus for absorbing damage, but Amon possesses the ability to emit waves of ice and shock enemies with lightning. In team play, Cryotic Thrum triggers Scourge to provoke adversaries, emitting Cryo damage and restoring health to allies every second.
Disaster is the last tree among three, and it primarily targets weakening opponents. Augments, however, can prepare enemies for damage from firearms during Onslaught’s active state. Enemies will either explode upon death or when struck by a Forge skill, inflicting Incendiary damage on surrounding foes. Additionally, there’s an interesting passive ability that enables the execution of enemies once their health falls below a certain threshold.
On September 12th, Borderlands 4 will be released for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. The Switch 2 version is set to follow on October 3rd. Here are previews of characters Vex and Rafa, with a sneak peek at Amon’s character shortcoming soon.
