Millions of gamers can now play one of the more recent Borderlands games for free, thanks to a new promotion. While many have been excited about Borderlands 4, which has received great reviews and is considered a highlight of the series, it’s actually a game from three years ago that’s currently being offered at no cost.
Prime Gaming is currently offering New Tales from the Borderlands for free. Released in 2022, this game continues the story of the original Tales from the Borderlands. Unlike a typical shooter, it’s a story-driven adventure where you play as multiple characters. Although developed by Gearbox instead of Telltale this time, New Tales from the Borderlands still focuses on making choices that change the course of the story.
We’re giving away copies of New Tales from the Borderlands, but this offer is only for PC players. If you claim the giveaway, you’ll receive a code to redeem the game on the Epic Games Store. Once you add it to your library, you can keep and play it forever.
While this offer for New Tales from the Borderlands isn’t entirely free – you need an active Amazon Prime subscription to claim it – it’s still a great deal for the many millions of Prime members worldwide.

New Tales from the Borderlands
In the constantly battling city of Promethea, you’ll play as Anu, Octavio, and Fran on a truly terrible day for all of them. Guide these unlikely heroes as they try to make a difference – and maybe even save the world! You’ll face a massive invasion, terrifying creatures, and a ruthless businessperson in this exciting, story-driven adventure where your choices shape the outcome. Along the way, you’ll meet a quirky group of characters, including killer robots and guns that talk, all while fighting your way to the top!
Honestly, I’m so fired up! It feels like it’s finally time to stand up for ourselves against companies that just take and take. I’m really getting into Mayhem, and I think everyone else should too – it’s something we all need to pay attention to.
