Brandi Glanville Says Her Breast Implants Caused Facial Parasites

Brandi Glanville is getting answers about her health.

The former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recently revealed that her health issues, stemming from a “facial parasite,” might be connected to having her breast implants for an extended period. She shared that her symptoms could be a result of keeping the implants in too long.

I was shocked to hear Brandi explain what happened – apparently, her implants completely broke, and silicone spread everywhere, even reaching her lymph nodes. She told TMZ that this is what caused the infection on her face, because the clogged lymph nodes prevented it from draining properly. It sounds incredibly painful and scary!

The reality TV star was stunned by the diagnosis, despite having regular breast exams.

I discovered I had a parasite, which was surprising considering I’ve had breast implants for nearly 20 years. Everything seemed okay – they looked and felt normal, and my mammogram didn’t show any problems. It wasn’t until I had an ultrasound that we found it.

She explained she simply thought it was worth checking one more thing, adding, “I’d already looked into everything else. I saw 21 doctors and spent a lot of money, so why not this too?”

Brandi, a mother to Mason, 22, and Jake, 18, with her former husband Eddie Cibrian, now views her past experiences as a warning about blindly following medical advice.

She explained that many doctors recommend replacing breast implants after about ten years, but she decided against it, thinking, ‘If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.’ She later regretted that decision, saying she learned a difficult lesson from the experience.

Since being diagnosed, the 53-year-old has been open about her health journey, starting in 2023. She’s also had her breast implants removed and received facial treatments to address damage, all as part of her recovery process.

Brandi has been honest about her health struggles and the results of her plastic surgery, but she doesn’t want to discourage other women from getting procedures they want.

She told me to enjoy myself and do whatever I wanted, but to keep checking on things. She emphasized that even if everything seems okay, it’s still important to double-check.

She described looking like she’d been in a serious car accident immediately afterward, but emphasized that she recovered quickly, appearing presentable after just five days and feeling completely normal after ten.

Okay, so she totally explained why she was so open about getting a face lift, and honestly, it makes SO much sense! She basically said, being on a reality show, it would be super strange if she suddenly looked a decade younger next season – and let’s be real, she does! It’s just… logical, you know?
