Frida, a parenting company, has joined forces with the ice cream maker OddFellows to launch a special edition of breastmilk-flavored ice cream. This unique treat is now available for purchase until August 10 at OddFellows’ New York City pop-up and on Frida’s website.

The project has taken almost nine months to develop, as Frida initially announced the intriguing product was being produced back in March.

In a press release from March, Frida shared her enthusiasm that has persisted throughout history: “We’ve always been fascinated by nourishing infants.” During the creation of our latest pump, she continued, we delved profoundly into the realm of breast milk.

The company admitted that they were also partially inspired by people trying real breastmilk. 

The statement continues, “A lot of discussion arose concerning its taste.” Then, intrigued individuals began tasting and even drinking it enthusiastically – and rightfully so!

As for what you can expect from the flavor?

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d describe this delight as having a sweet, nutty flavor with a subtle salty undertone. It also boasts a luxurious swirl of rich, velvety fats.

Understandably, Frida fans had mixed reactions to the brand’s segue into the food space. 

One fan expressed their enthusiasm by saying, “I adore everything about this and can’t wait for the excitement,” adding, “Could I have more joy with a dollop of cream and a sprinkle of sparkle?
