Jess Brownell, the creator of Bridgerton, has given fans a hint about season 4, saying it was the most straightforward book to turn into a TV series.
The fourth season of Bridgerton will debut on Netflix in January, starting with the first part of the new episodes. It’s based on Julia Quinn’s novel, ‘An Offer From a Gentleman,’ and will center on the romance between Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
The original story naturally fit the format of a television romance, making it ideal for adaptation, according to writer and producer Brownell in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
The show features many impressive locations and scenarios that create exciting conflicts and raise the stakes. Fans of the book will likely be pleased to see several familiar scenes brought to life on screen.
The latest trailer for season four offered a sneak peek at a key scene from the book: Sophie, disguised as the Lady in Silver, meets Benedict at a masquerade ball, sparking a connection between them.
Brownell also mentioned that Benedict’s brothers and sisters will be there to support him throughout the fourth season.
The goal is to make sure all the Bridgerton siblings feel included in the central romance. For instance, Eloise and Benedict have a close bond, and she’ll be helping him with his pursuit of the mysterious woman this season.

Many viewers anticipated Benedictâs romance would be the main storyline in season 3, as itâs featured in the third Bridgerton book. However, the show surprised everyone by shifting focus to Colinâs (Luke Newton) story instead â a plot that originally appears in the fourth book, Romancing Mr Bridgerton.
Season 4 of Bridgerton will center on Benedict, the second Bridgerton son. While his brothers have found happiness in marriage, Benedict isn’t eager to settle downâthat is, until he encounters a mysterious and alluring woman at his mother’s masquerade ball.
