I was a little worried after season 3 of Bridgerton that we might not see Lady Whistledown’s papers anymore, even though the ending made it seem like she’d still be around. But I just saw the trailer for season 4, and I’m so relieved! It looks like we’ll definitely find out what Lady Whistledown is up to right from the start of the new season. I can’t wait!

With the first episodes of Bridgerton season 4 arriving in January, Netflix has now released a full trailer. The trailer shows Penelope speaking with Queen Charlotte about the next edition of Whistledown. Throughout season 3, it became obvious that the Queen was increasingly interested in discovering who was behind the Whistledown gossip column.
With the mystery solved, it’s clear Queen Charlotte is primarily interested in staying informed about the latest gossip. While taking control of Lady Whistledown might be a good move for the Queen, it could create difficulties for Penelope, who values her freedom to write as she chooses. Fortunately, season 4 of Bridgerton will reveal more about what happens next with Whistledown.
