In the upcoming production, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will return to play Lily and Irv Ravitz, while Adrian Grenier, who portrayed Nate Cooper in the original, will not be participating this time, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Last year, I learned that Disney was working on a sequel to the 2006 movie, and just recently, it was officially announced that the follow-up would be released on my calendar next year, specifically on May 1st, 2026.
The story is loosely adapted from Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 book, and it portrays Andrea (Hathaway) as she secures employment under Miranda Priestly (Streep), who resembles Anna Wintour in her role as a powerful editor at a prominent New York fashion publication.

Upon its debut, the movie turned out to be a massive box-office success and garnered Meryl Streep an Oscar nomination. Over time, its popularity has continued to soar, making it a beloved choice among streamers even today.
Earlier indications point towards the continuation featuring Miranda, currently serving as editor-in-chief for Runway Magazine, grappling with the challenges posed by the fading print industry. This time, she’ll be going head-to-head with her ex-assistant Emily (Blunt), who has risen to become a top executive at a high-end fashion brand.
Beyond portraying Kate in Bridgerton, Ashley’s past performances encompass Sex Education and the Prime Video movie Picture This. In more recent times, a role she had lined up for F1 the Movie was removed from the final production – however, director Joseph Kosinski expressed his desire to collaborate with her again in the future.
