Brigitte Bardot Hospitalized Following Surgery

Brigitte Bardot is on the mend.

Brigitte Bardot, known for her role in *And God Created Woman*, has been recovering in a private hospital in Toulon, France, for almost three weeks following a recent surgical procedure, according to the French newspaper *Var-Matin*.

According to reports, the 91-year-old recently had surgery after becoming seriously ill, and her health is causing concern.

Brigitte Bardot is expected to leave the hospital soon, after being admitted in late September, and continue recovering at her home in St. Tropez.

TopMob News has contacted representatives for Bardot to inquire about her recent hospitalization and health, but has not received a response yet.

Brigitte Bardot was recently hospitalized, following a similar health scare two years ago in 2023 when paramedics were called to her home because she had difficulty breathing, according to reports in the French media.

Brigitte began having difficulty breathing around 9 p.m., according to her husband, Bernard d’Ormale, in a statement to Var-Matin. He said it was a more severe episode than usual, but she remained conscious. Firefighters arrived and provided oxygen, staying to keep an eye on her condition.

The incident happened in July, and d’Ormale speculated that the hot weather might have played a role, explaining that, like many older people, she struggles with heat.

Brigitte Bardot, hailed as the first French film icon to become globally famous, opened up about her 70-year career. The documentary, directed by Alain Berliner and featuring contributions from friends like Stella McCartney, Naomi Campbell, and Marina Abramovic, offered viewers a personal and revealing look at the actress’s true self.

Berliner shared with *Variety* that despite Brigitte Bardot remaining quite private, he successfully accomplished a key aim for the documentary: letting Bardot herself narrate her own story.

After finishing her last film, *The Edifying and Joyous Story of Colinot*, in 1973, Brigitte Bardot dedicated her life to animal welfare, pursuing a cause she deeply cared about.

“It’s what I dreamed of,” she told Vanity Fair in 2012. “It’s what I always wanted.”

Even as she’s aged, Brigitte Bardot hasn’t tried to hide it. Instead, she’s focused on living life to the fullest. She’s said she doesn’t feel old or worn out, and she doesn’t want to waste time worrying about aging, because she’s dedicated to her passions.

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.

She explained that growing up, many girls are told that periods are supposed to be painful, and that pain is just something women have to deal with. This often leaves people feeling like they’re suffering in silence with something incredibly common.

This prompted Schumer to realize she *had* been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially struggling to respond when Justin noticed something was wrong. She couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop, but these symptoms eventually subsided.

H Hailey went to the hospital and tests revealed she had experienced a small blood clot in her brain, diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further investigation at UCLA discovered she had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO).

Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled through the PFO and reached her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the hole in her heart and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult for him to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on *Good Morning America* that Justin was recovering well, saying it had been a frightening experience, but he was going to be okay and she was thankful he was fine.

In his 2024 Netflix special, *What Had Happened Was…*, he explained that he suffered from a severe headache one day in Atlanta. Before he could even take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

He initially saw a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

She shared on the show *Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser* that her memory of the event was fragmented. After that, she saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.

Let me tell you, I was seriously unwell. I actually ended up with something called rhabdomyolysis, which is basically your body’s emergency stop button. I didn’t even realize what was happening at first, but it was like my organs were starting to fail. It’s a scary thing, because it means your body is sending a clear signal that it needs to shut down to protect itself.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in *Game of Thrones*, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for *The New Yorker*. While filming the show, she experienced a severe headache during a gym workout, which quickly escalated. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she’d suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, making it difficult to speak coherently.

Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a follow-up scan in 2013 showed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This operation was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors needed to perform a more invasive procedure, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described a time when she was losing her hearing, unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours, and experiencing constant stomach pain. She faced confusion due to conflicting diagnoses from different doctors.

Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has kept her specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being spanned a decade.

She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.

Ultimately, Woodley’s health improved, and she is now feeling very well. She shared that the issues resolved themselves, and she’s happy to be in a healthy place.
