Fans of Britain’s Got Talent will miss out on the show this coming weekend, as it has been temporarily removed from the broadcast schedule to accommodate a significant live event.
Instead of its usual prime-time Saturday spot on ITV1, Simon Cowell’s variety show has been moved due to the scheduling conflict with the Six Nations game featuring France vs. Scotland.
The event starts at 8 pm, but we’ll start our live broadcast an hour and a half earlier at 7:15 pm. This means Britain’s Got Talent will have to be moved back slightly because our coverage is taking up its usual time slot.
This coming Saturday will be an exciting day for rugby enthusiasts, as Italy and Ireland clash on ITV1 at 2:15 PM, followed by Wales taking on England on BBC One at 4:45 PM. The top three teams are closely matched, with just a small margin between them.
Currently, as I’m typing this, France leads the Six Nations standings with 16 points, closely followed by England with 15 points, and Ireland not far behind with 14 points. The teams of Scotland (11 points), Italy (4 points), and Wales (3 points) are some distance behind in the rankings.
Indeed, it’s usually expected that significant sports events would displace routine broadcasting, making it unsurprising to find Britain’s Got Talon postponed to the next week in a situation like this.
Without a doubt, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the show on Saturday 22nd March. On this day, Simon Cowell and judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and Bruno Tonioli will be gracing their presence with even more talented performers from across the nation.
The well-known internet personality, KSI, is stepping into Tonioli’s shoes temporarily, as he takes on a judging role during a portion of this new season on Strictly Come Dancing.
Regarding possible future appearances in the tournament, KSI shared with The Sun: “I had a great time overall, but I’m unsure if they’d like me to come back. I’m not sure if I left a positive impact.
“But if I did, and they do want me back, you know, I’m fully down!”
