Britney Spears Reunites With Son Jayden Federline for Christmas

Christmas really may have been the most wonderful time of the year for Britney Spears.

Shortly after Kevin Federline mentioned his sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, were hoping to reconnect with their mother, Britney Spears spent Christmas with Jayden, according to a source at TopMob News.

Sean celebrated Christmas in Louisiana with his mother’s sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, her husband Jamie Watson, and their daughters Maddie, 17, and Ivey, 6. He was featured in family photos shared by Jamie Lynn, along with Sean’s grandmother, Lynne Spears.

Even though Britney hasn’t seen her sons very often since they moved to Hawaii with their father in 2023, she’s spending Christmas with her son Jayden for the second year in a row. Jayden has since moved back to Los Angeles to focus on his music career.

The 44-year-old shared a photo from her December 31st holiday with Jayden, writing that she hadn’t seen him in two or three years. She expressed her surprise, saying he seemed more mature and intelligent than her when they reunited.

She explained, with great emotion, that he was an extraordinary and incredibly talented man. She confessed she cried daily, overwhelmed by his brilliance, and described his performances as earth-shattering.

Britney and her sons also spent a day together in June, which she excitedly shared online—posting, “Went to church today !!! Sang and praised !!!”—but their relationship seemed to become strained after Kevin Federline released his memoir, You Thought You Knew, in November.

Britney’s ex-husband, who she divorced in November 2006 after two years of marriage, recently shared on Talk Shop Live that their children have always had and will continue to have a strong love for their mother. He emphasized that this bond is deeply ingrained in them and that he’s always hoped they would share a similar close relationship with her as he has with his own mother.

Look, I understand some people feel this book makes things harder, but honestly, we’ve exhausted every other option. We’ve really tried everything. And when it comes down to it, if I have to take the blame and be the one everyone dislikes, I’m willing to do that. My kids deserve to have a relationship with their mom, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen, even if it means being the ‘bad guy’.

Besides Sean and Jayden, Kevin Federline also has four other children: Kori Madison Federline, 23, and Kaleb Michael Jackson Federline, 21, with his ex, Shar Jackson, and Jordan Kay Federline, 14, and Peyton Marie Federline, 11, with his wife, Victoria Prince.

Jayden has often credited his mother as his biggest inspiration. He shared in 2022 that he didn’t fully understand how famous she was until he witnessed the large crowds she drew during her performances.

He remembered seeing her on TV, performing for huge crowds. “It really hit me how famous and successful she was,” he told the Daily Mail, explaining that the sight inspired him.
