Brittany Mahomes Shares Recovery Update After Back Injury

Brittany Mahomes is pumping past the pain.

The model, known for her work with Sports Illustrated, shared an update on her fitness journey, revealing her progress in the gym. This comes over a year and a half after she suffered a fractured back from a pelvic floor injury.

Brittany Mahomes, who has three children – Sterling (4), Bronze (3), and Golden (11 months) – with her husband Patrick Mahomes, recently impressed her fitness coach, Kristy Rae, by successfully squatting 70 pounds.

Kristy shared on Instagram that a year and a half ago, recovering from a broken back was incredibly painful and restricted her movement. But recently, almost a year after giving birth, she’s getting stronger each week, demonstrating the body’s amazing ability to heal with patience and focused effort.

Further celebrating Brittany’s progress, she added, “So proud of you @brittanylynne.”

In March 2024, the 30-year-old woman revealed her injury and shared helpful advice for other new mothers.

She shared a heartfelt message: ‘Just a reminder to all future moms – please prioritize your pelvic floor health! I’m saying this from experience – a girl with a fractured back.’ She posted this along with a selfie.

Just three months after her injury, Kristy shared positive news about Brittany, posting a video of her lifting lighter weights. She explained that Brittany’s back pain was gone and she was starting to work her way back to overhead lifts, gradually increasing the weight.

Brittany happily shared that she had fully recovered from her injury. She told TopMob News, “I’m doing great, really living my best life! My back is healed, which is fantastic.”

Currently, the Mahomes family is facing another challenge. Last month, Patrick Mahomes injured his knee – tearing his ACL during a game against the Los Angeles Chargers on December 14th – ending his season.

Patrick, age 30, shared on X (formerly Twitter) on December 14th that he was hurting and didn’t understand why this had happened. He expressed his faith, saying he’s relying on God and will keep working hard every day. He also thanked Chiefs fans for their constant support and the many prayers he’s received.

Remaining optimistic, the quarterback added, “I Will be back stronger than ever.”
