Brittany Snow Reacts to Pitch Perfect Theory About Anna Kendrick

Brittany Snow thinks these theories are aca-awesome.

The actress, known for her role in Pitch Perfect, has said she welcomes fans who think her character, Chloe, and Anna Kendrick’s character, Beca, might have been in a romantic relationship in the 2012 movies.

Brittany explained in a clip from the October 28th episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast that she doesn’t believe that’s how things actually happened. She jokingly added that she seems to project a certain vibe, and she’s glad people pick up on it.

Brittany revealed she’s seen fan-made videos focusing on a suggestive moment between Chloe and Beca in a shower scene from the first movie. She hinted that this wasn’t a complete accident, implying it was somewhat intentional.

Brittany described the scene as a typical ‘two girls in a shower’ setup, but she and Kendrick felt they could expand on it and make it more than just that.

She remembered they’d discussed making the scene a bit more exciting to add some energy. It ended up evolving into what it is now, and they never imagined it would resonate with so many viewers.

Brittany was initially surprised by the romantic theories fans had about her, but she’s really grateful for all the kind messages she’s gotten because of them.

It’s incredibly rewarding when people connect with my work. I’ve had so many young women tell me that something I’ve done – a character I’ve played, a message I’ve shared – sparked a real moment of self-discovery for them. They’ve actually told me it was the moment they understood something important about who they are, and that honestly means the world to me.

Brittany is receiving similar reactions from viewers now that she’s playing Sophie in the Netflix series Hunting Wives. Her character has an affair with Margo, played by Malin Åkerman, who is a wealthy woman in the show.

“I love it,” Brittany said. “I’m so honored.”

When asked about potentially making a fourth Pitch Perfect movie based on fan theories, the 39-year-old actress didn’t rule it out.

Brittany said everyone would likely participate because they enjoy performing together. While she has no knowledge of a new project, she joked that getting paid to sing and dance isn’t something to complain about.

While we’re still waiting to hear about a possible fourth Pitch Perfect movie, here’s a look at some of the other films coming out next year.
