Brooklyn Peltz Beckham is bending his frown upside down with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Just three days after publicly sharing details about his difficult relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, their son was seen happily enjoying a beach date with his wife in Malibu, California.

While out for a walk with their dog on January 22nd, Brooklyn and Nicola showed off their love for each other. Brooklyn wore a brown sweatshirt and black pants, and his wedding ring was visible as he put his arm around Nicola. Nicola, meanwhile, wore a white poncho with blue jeans and smiled at her husband while carrying her Starbucks coffee.

The couple were seen enjoying a romantic walk, showcasing their close relationship. This was their first public appearance since Brooklyn publicly discussed issues with his family and revealed he felt he’d been under their control for much of his life.

The 26-year-old claims that the Spice Girls member – who is also a mother to Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13 – doesn’t approve of his relationship with Nicola. He says she often brought up women from his past and invited them into their lives, seemingly to make both him and Nicola feel awkward.

Brooklyn shared that his parents have consistently tried to sabotage his relationship, even before his wedding, and haven’t let up. He explained that his mother unexpectedly cancelled plans to make Nicola’s wedding dress, despite being enthusiastic about the design, leaving Nicola to scramble and find a new one.

He explained that his wife has repeatedly been treated with disrespect by his family, despite their efforts to build a unified relationship.

Brooklyn, who married Nicola in 2022, also addressed and dismissed rumors that she controls him.

He explained that the idea his wife controls him is actually the opposite of the truth. He shared that he struggled with severe anxiety growing up, but since becoming independent from his family, he’s finally found peace and that anxiety has gone away.

Brooklyn finished by saying he feels thankful every morning for the life he and his wife have built, and that they’ve finally found calm and contentment. They want to live a life free from public scrutiny and outside influence, simply desiring peace, privacy, and happiness for themselves and their future children.

While not required, many people expected Nicola Peltz Beckham to wear a wedding dress designed by her future mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, when she married Brooklyn Beckham in April 2022. The wedding took place at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Brooklyn said she’s realized people will always try to be negative or bring others down. Thankfully, everyone on the team gets along well, which is a positive thing.

Speaking to Grazia the following month, Nicola called the Beckhams “great in-laws.”

Victoria, who rarely addresses gossip, finally described the Peltz-Beckham wedding as “beautiful.”
