Trust, Brooks Nader is riding solo.
Following speculation that actress Kennedy Brooks and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Dakota Mortensen had a connection after they were seen together at a premiere event at The Plaza Hotel on November 11th, Brooks shared the real story of what happened.
She told TopMob News at the Alice + Olivia launch party on November 12th that she wasn’t sure how she got involved in whatever was happening. She explained she was just chatting with someone she found attractive and didn’t even know his name.
Brooks wasn’t expecting the romantic connection her sister, Grace Ann Nader, had suggested was brewing between her and Dakota—who shares a 20-month-old son, Ever, with his ex-wife, Taylor Frankie Paul—after seeing hints on TikTok.
She explained they were there to show support because he’s part of the Hulu team. ‘I was actually meeting him for the first time,’ she said. ‘He was really kind, and honestly, I’m completely single and enjoying my freedom.’
The 28-year-old recently ended her five-year marriage to Billy Haire in 2024 and has since been rumored to be dating dancer Gleb Savchenko, and tennis players Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. She’s currently enjoying being single.
She said being single gives you complete freedom – you don’t have to check in with anyone, explain your actions, or limit yourself to one person when dating.
Right now, she’s enjoying time in New York with her sisters: Grace Ann, age 25, Mary Holland Nader, 27, and Sarah Jane Nader, 23.
Brooks described growing up in a close-knit family, where they all lived in a small house. As life happened – with people going to college, getting married, and experiencing separations – the band members eventually reunited. He said it feels like being back home in Louisiana, but in the middle of New York City. He cherishes having his ‘sister’ nearby through all of life’s ups and downs.
As she put it, “Something happens and it’s just a knock on the door.”
The Nader sisters’ close relationship extends beyond their family life. All four attended an Alice + Olivia event, which host and CEO Stacey Bendet told TopMob News was particularly meaningful.
It’s been a tough year,” Stacey said. “There’s been a lot of uncertainty globally, and I’m also busy raising three children. So, it really means the world to me that my friends took the time to come over on a Wednesday night and support me.
