Sarah Michelle Gellar hints she’s training for Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot series
On August 2nd, Sarah Michelle Gellar shared a video on her Instagram account showcasing herself doing different workouts with her fellow cast member from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
In the video, the 48-year-old actress executes a variety of resistance and strength exercises, all while enjoying some laughter with Armstrong. Gellar also wrote, “Warrior 1 and 2 – We don’t sweat… we shimmer,” as part of her caption for the post.
In the upcoming reboot, Armstrong is expected to play a younger version of the vampire slayer opposite Gellar’s Buffy. A training video released by Gellar suggests that they might be gearing up for the new Hulu series with this workout routine.
It appears that the strong bond between these two stars extends beyond their acting careers, as demonstrated by Gellar’s supportive remarks during Armstrong’s casting. Reflecting on her audition for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, Gellar commented, “From the instant I watched Ryan’s audition, I knew there was only one girl I wanted standing next to me. To possess such emotional intelligence and talent at a young age is truly rare. The added advantage is that her smile can brighten even the gloomiest of spaces.
In addition to Gellar and Armstrong, the cast of the Buffy reboot includes Faly Rakotohavana as Hugo, Ava Jean as Larkin, Sarah Bock as Gracie, Daniel di Tomasso as Abe, and Jack Cutmore-Scott as Mr. Burke. At this time, there is no official word about when the show will air.
