Want to try out Call of Duty: Black Ops 6? Now you can, for free! A limited-time free trial is available, so you don’t need to buy the game or pay for an expensive Xbox Game Pass subscription to play.
The free trial started on Thursday and will last until October 16th, giving you about a week to try it out from today.
The best part of this free trial is that it lets you play everything – not just multiplayer or Zombies, but the full Campaign mode too. You can experience the entire story for free within the trial period.
The campaign alone makes this game worth experiencing, even if the other features don’t appeal to you. It’s the strongest campaign the series has seen in years, largely because the developers had a full four years to create it – a luxury compared to the rushed development cycles of previous games, which usually had three years or less.
This game offers a variety of missions, blending stealthy gameplay with genuinely creepy psychological horror, all wrapped up in a story full of unexpected surprises. If you’re a fan of single-player first-person shooters, it’s definitely worth playing.
You can try the game for free on any platform – that includes Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, whether you use Battle.net or Steam.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is almost here
Call of Duty will release a new game in a few weeks, continuing its annual release schedule. This year’s installment, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, is being developed by Treyarch and Raven, the teams behind previous Black Ops titles.
Despite the title, this game isn’t a continuation of the Black Ops 6 storyline. It actually revisits the character of David Mason, who first appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 back in 2012. The story, set in 2035, is being called complex and thought-provoking.
The game features cooperative play, letting you team up with up to three friends – a feature that’s been missing from the series for ten years. The last time co-op was included in the campaign was in Treyarch’s 2015 game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Alongside this new initiative, popular modes like Zombies and multiplayer are back. The developers at Treyarch have been actively listening to player feedback, and have confirmed they’ll adjust some of the more extreme character skins to fit the series’ style. They also announced that the next installment, Black Ops 7, will launch with a skill-based matchmaking system that’s much less restrictive than in previous games.
The next Call of Duty game, Black Ops 7, will be released on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It will be immediately available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers at launch.
