Call the Midwife star teases “unexpected turn” in Rosalind and Cyril’s relationship in season 15

Season 15 of Call the Midwife will continue to follow the developing romance between Rosalind and Cyril, starting on BBC One and iPlayer on Sunday, January 11th.

I’m so excited for the show! Zephryn Taitte has hinted that the two leads really connect fast, but he also said to expect a twist we won’t see coming. It’s going to be good!

Could that be meeting Rosalind’s parents for the first time?

He’s also dealing with the challenge of meeting her parents and worrying about their opinions of him, whether those opinions are fair or not. This season, Cyril has a lot on his plate – a romance that’s both happy and sad.

Natalie Quarry explained that the challenges Rosalind faces in upcoming episodes will cause her to mature significantly.

She explained that the experience shifted how she views things, with both positive and negative aspects. It’s going to be a significant and exciting year for her.

Rosalind and Cyril bonded last year during a Christmas episode when they worked together to help a former prisoner arrange a funeral for his mother, who had passed away while he was in prison.

Rosalind and Cyril became closer while volunteering together at a homeless shelter. As Cyril and Lucille’s divorce progressed, their connection continued to deepen.

Even with opposition from others – like Joyce discouraging their relationship and facing racist reactions – their bond has grown stronger.

But Rosalind and Cyril’s relationship is just one strand of season 15’s plot…

According to an official description, Sister Julienne is unexpectedly optimistic about the future of the Order. Having spent years resisting change, she now chooses to welcome it and explore the positive impact love can have.

A new energy runs through season 15. It begins in 1971 with some of the midwives showing their support for the Women’s Liberation movement by protesting outside Nonnatus House.

Throughout the year, our team has worked on a variety of challenging cases, including those involving premature births, placenta previa, kidney cancer, tuberculosis, and situations related to modern slavery.
