Libby Boyce was touched by Adam Sandler’s tribute to her son.
Notably, Cameron Boyce, who tragically passed away in 2019 at just 20 years old following a seizure during sleep, features briefly in the latest Netflix film from the former cast member of Saturday Night Live, titled “Happy Gilmore 2“.
On Instagram, July 27th, Libby shared that Adam consistently finds means to preserve Cam’s memory, a gesture that melts our hearts.
She continued to explain the bond shared by Adam and Cameron, two actors who portrayed a father-son duo in the movies titled “Grown Ups“.
According to Libby, Adam and Cameron discussed extensively as the days approached Cameron’s demise. It was anticipated that Cameron would star in “Hubie’s Halloween,” and they were planning their roles together. From what she observed, there seemed to be a connection between them, possibly stemming from being genuine, humorous, and straightforward individuals.
TopMob News has reached out to Cameron’s family for comment and has not yet heard back.
In the scene from “Happy Gilmore 2”, Adam subtly included Cameron by briefly showing one of Cameron’s Disney Channel shows on a TV screen in the background. This quick nod was appreciated by both the family and fans online, but it wasn’t the first time Adam has honored his past co-star in this manner.
In the end credits of his 2020 film “Hubie Halloween”, the actor from “Billy Madison” dedicated a touching tribute to Cameron.
As a devoted admirer, I penned this tribute: “In tender remembrance of CAMERON BOYCE, a shining star on the Descendants stage. Regrettably taken from us far too early, he was one of the most compassionate, stylish, hilarious, and gifted young souls we had the pleasure to know. His spirit endures eternally in our hearts, and his absence is deeply felt each day.
Ever since her son’s demise, Cameron’s mother frequently reminisces about fond memories of him. As a matter of fact, she recently shared some sweet recollections around the time that marked six years since his unexpected passing.
On Instagram, Libby shared that Cameron deeply enjoys and resonates with dancing, as evidenced by this photo from his dance class on July 11. When I closely examined the picture, I remembered the ease and happiness that always shone on his face when he danced.

Following his successful debut as charming character Ethan Craft in the Hilary Duff-led comedy, Clayton Snyder temporarily stepped away from acting to complete high school and attend Pepperdine University, where he excelled at water polo. Although he appeared in a 2014 episode of NCIS, he now concentrates on his real estate career. However, he doesn’t avoid discussing his past as a child actor. As he shared with TopMob News, “In some cases, clients discover my background halfway through a house showing and exclaim, ‘We just found out who you are and can’t believe it!’ This makes me feel good because I know they’re not working with me solely due to my past. It’s the ideal blend of enjoying their discovery while appreciating the value of our professional work.
As the cherished on-screen buddy-turned-love interest David “Gordo” Gordon in the classic comedy series Lizzie McGuire, I, Adam Lamberg, ventured into roles for films like When Do We Eat? and Beautiful Loser post-show. Peeking at my LinkedIn profile, you’ll find that I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from UC Berkeley, followed by a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College. Unfortunately, I had to step away from the Lizzie McGuire reboot, but I’ve chosen to hang up my acting shoes for now.
Lalaine’s character Miranda Sanchez was absent from the final six episodes of “Lizzie McGuire” and its 2003 movie because she was busy with the Disney Channel Original Movie “You Wish!”. This absence seemed to impact her career, as her music career didn’t take off and a sequel series focusing on Miranda titled “What’s Stevie Thinking?” never progressed beyond the pilot stage. In 2007, she was arrested for felony possession of meth and had to complete court-ordered rehab. The charge was later removed from her record. Since then, she has made a guest appearance in “Easy A”, but you’re more likely to find her on Instagram than on either the big or small screen. She did appear in a film called “Definition Please” in 2020.
Ever since I graced the small screen as the lovable little brother Matt on “Lizzie McGuire” for 65 unforgettable episodes, I’ve been on a roll! I found myself right at home on Disney’s “Cory In the House,” and later popped up as a guest star on hit shows like “ER,” “House,” “Criminal Minds,” “NCIS,” and even “S.W.A.T.” It wasn’t just TV where I made my mark, though – I also had the pleasure of working alongside YouTube sensation Joey Graceffa in his web series “Storytellers” from 2013 to 2014.
Fast forward a few years, and I proudly graduated from Cal State University, Northridge in 2018 with a degree in Screenwriting, not to mention a minor in Japanese Language. On my Instagram, you’ll find a delightful blend of original photography and nostalgic glimpses into my childhood acting days – take a trip down memory lane with me!
Following her debut lead role in the 2000 DCOM “Rip Girls,” Camilla Belle temporarily stepped away from acting, returning to the limelight with her roles in the 2006 remake of “When a Stranger Calls” and the 2008 blockbuster “10,000 BC.”
She had a brief romance with Joe Jonas, whom she encountered on the set of the Jonas Brothers’ music video for “Lovebug,” from late-2008 to mid-2009. This relationship inspired the lyrics in Taylor Swift‘s song “Better Than Revenge.”
Since then, she has primarily worked on independent projects, featuring in films like “Open Road,” “Diablo” and James Franco’s 2017 film “The Mad Whale.” Lately, she’s made guest appearances on “Dollface” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime.
After his tenure as Max Russo on the show Wizards of Waverly Place ended in 2012, actor Jake T. Austin swiftly moved on to a leading role on ABC Family’s series The Fosters, now known as Freeform’s The Fosters. There, he portrayed Jesus Foster during the first two seasons before being replaced by Noah Centineo. Following this, Austin participated in season 23 of Dancing With the Stars, where he was the initial contestant to be eliminated. He also provided voice acting for the films The Emoji Movie (released in 2017) and Adverse (released in 2020), a thriller featuring Mickey Rourke. Although he did not appear in the first season of the sequel to Wizards of Waverly Place, titled Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, fans are eagerly anticipating his potential return for the upcoming second season.
In the years following the end of the show in 2012, David Henrie, known for playing the eldest Russo sib Justin, has taken a slightly different path. Unlike other cast members, he wasn’t part of the follow-up film “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex,” but he did appear in movies like “Grown Ups 2” and “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.”
In April 2017, David tied the knot with former Miss Delaware Maria Cahill. Their daughter, Pia Francesca Philomena Henrie, was born on March 19, 2019. At around the same time, there were allegations of carrying a loaded gun in LAX, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges. After admitting it was an unintentional act, he received a two-year probation sentence and was required to complete 20 days of community service.
Now a father of three, David and Selena Gomez are working together as executive producers and stars in the new Disney+ series spin-off, “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.”
Following my magical reunion as Harper Finkle, Alex Russo’s best friend in “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex,” I, Jennifer Stone, took on thrilling roles such as a student possessed in the 2014 Lifetime movie “High School Possession” and a Babysitter in Nickelodeon’s chilling anthology series “Deadtime Stories.”
In the year 2013, I was diagnosed with latent autoimmune diabetes in adults, also known as Type 1.5 diabetes. Inspired by my personal journey, my film “The In-Between” was created to shed light on this often overlooked condition.
Jennifer and Wizards costar David DeLuise both host the rewatch podcast Wizards of Waverly Pod.
Wow, can you believe it? Back when I was just a year old, Mia Talerico was cast as Charlie Duncan on the hit show “Good Luck Charlie,” which premiered in April 2010! It’s hard to imagine that over eight years have passed since then, and yet she’s still going strong. After the show ended in 2014, Mia landed a role on Brat’s kids’ show “Mani,” appearing as Paige in 13 episodes. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, she also runs her very own YouTube channel where she does unboxing and toy review videos! It’s amazing to see how much talent this little star has already shown at such a young age.
After the end of Good Luck Charlie, Teddy Duncan, one of Charlie’s older siblings, took on a more mature role when Bridgit Mendler joined the second season of NBC comedy Undateable in 2015. She played a part in two seasons before it was canceled. Since then, she has been featured in two episodes of Nashville and the Netflix film Father of the Year, as well as a Netflix series co-starring Dennis Quaid and Ashley Tisdale, titled Merry Happy Whatever.
The actress, who has also released two albums, studied anthropology at USC. In May 2018, she announced that she had started a graduate program at MIT, followed by an announcement in January 2019 that she was studying at Harvard Law School. More recently, she revealed that she and her engineer husband, Griffin Cleverly, adopted a 4-year-old son and launched their own tech startup, Northwood Space, which aims to construct ground satellite stations for sending and receiving data from space.
Since the final installment of their DCOM franchise in 2008, Raven-Symone and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton have continued to shine in acting roles and hosting gigs. However, Kiely Williams, a former member of Adrienne’s group 3LW, has followed a slightly different path.
After appearing in “The House Bunny” in 2008, Kiely landed roles in “Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale” (2010), “Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming”, and “Holla II” (both in 2013). She also tied the knot with Brandon “BJ” Cox in December 2016, with Sabrina Bryan, another Cheetah Girl, serving as her bridesmaid. Kiely made a brief comeback to the spotlight in 2017, participating in a episode of “Celebrity Family Feud” as part of the Girl Group team alongside Sabrina.
Following the broadcast of “Cheetah Girls: One World” in 2008, Sabrina Bryan took on the role as a correspondent for TopMob News during the eighth series of “Dancing With the Stars” in 2009, three seasons after her initial participation and elimination. She revisited the dance floor for season 15 in 2012, competing as an All Star. Despite earning perfect scores, she was once again eliminated in sixth place, exactly five years after her first dismissal.
She lent her voice to the Disney Channel animated series “Fish Hooks,” started a web series titled “Dinner With Friends” with Kiely Williams in 2011, and tied the knot with strategic accounts manager Jordan Lundberg on October 6, 2018, after nine years of courtship. Now, she is rekindling Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) nostalgia through her iHeartPodcast “Magical Rewind” alongside Will Friedle.
Following his role in the 1999 Disney Channel Original Movie “Smart House,” actor Ryan Merriman became a regular on the network, starring in shows like “The Luck of the Irish” (2001) and “A Ring of Endless Light” (2002). Subsequently, he moved towards more mature roles, appearing in films such as “Halloween: Resurrection,” “The Ring Two,” and “Final Destination 3.” In 2010, Merriman landed a recurring part as Ian Thomas on the series “Pretty Little Liars,” featuring in 16 episodes until 2014. He also featured in the 2013 biopic “42” about Jackie Robinson, taking on a supporting role. Currently, his career continues, with recent roles mainly appearing in independent productions.
In 2004, Merriman married Micol Duncan, but they divorced in 2011. In 2012, he announced his engagement to Kristen McCullen, and the couple wed in 2014.
Between the years 1999 and 2004, Kirsten Storms was a familiar face on Disney Channel, featuring in the Zenon trilogy, Johnny Tsunami, and providing voiceovers for Kim Possible. However, even during this period, she was embarking on a more mature career path, joining NBC’s Days of Our Lives in 2000 for a four-year run that spanned 410 episodes.
Following an attempt to establish herself in prime-time television with a role in CBS’s Clubhouse in 2004, she returned to soaps in 2005 as Maxie Jones on ABC’s General Hospital, where she continued until 2023, appearing in over 1,100 episodes!
In 2011, Storms dabbled in reality TV with a stint on the short-lived TopMob series, Dirty Soap, which focused on the personal lives of soap stars. In June 2013, she and her General Hospital co-star Brandon Barash secretly got married, and their daughter Harper Rose Barash was born on January 7, 2014. Unfortunately, they filed for divorce in April 2016 due to irreconcilable differences.
In 1998, Erik von Dette became a beloved figure as the lead in one of the first Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs), titled “Brink!”. Following this success, he appeared in various projects, including voice acting for “Recess”, playing John Bryant in “The Princess Diaries”, and starring in the supernatural Disney series “So Weird” from 1999 to 2001. He also ventured into reality TV with a stint on the first celebrity edition of ABC’s “The Mole”. Additionally, he was part of short-lived shows like “Dinotopia” and “Complete Savages”. His latest work can be seen in “Toy Story 3”, reprising his role as Sid, which he had originated in the Pixar franchise back in 1995. Currently, he is employed in sales at a finance company and shares two children with his wife Angela.
Following his role as Ricky Ullman in the series “Phil of the Future” from 2004 to 2006, Raviv started moving towards more mature roles with guest appearances on shows like “Big Love” and “House”, using his real name for the first time in a 2006 episode. This was followed by a regular role on the Lifetime comedy “Rita Rocks” from 2008 to 2009. More recently, he has been seen in an episode of “Broad City” in 2015 and as a recurring character in the web series “Strangers” in 2018. From 2012 to 2018, he featured in several stage shows. Between 2013 and 2014, he was also the drummer for Zoe Kravitz’s band Lolawolf.
In 2022, Raviv shared with TopMob News that he had just completed work in San Francisco where he directed an opera at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
In the year 1999, Kimberly J. Brown gained immense popularity when she played the role of young witch Marnie Piper in the beloved Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) “Halloweentown,” opposite the iconic Debbie Reynolds. The film was such a success that it led to three sequels. Interestingly, the network chose to recast her role in 2006’s “Return to Halloweentown,” replacing her with Sara Paxton. This decision was met with mixed reactions, and the fourth film is often considered the least favorite among fans of the series.
Outside the franchise, Brown’s acting roles have been relatively limited. She appeared in the 2005 film “Be Cool” and a few episodes of AMC’s canceled series “Low Winter Sun” in 2013. Her television credits also include nearly 50 episodes of “Guiding Light” and 15 episodes of “General Hospital” in 2021.
After completing her business degree, she started an Etsy shop called CraftilyCreative, where she sells a range of items, including merchandise inspired by Halloweentown. In 2016, she and coauthor Diane Yslas published a Halloween-themed children’s book titled “Poppin’s Pumpkin Patch Parade.”
Disney fans were thrilled when they learned that Brown had found love with her “Halloweentown” costar Daniel Kountz. The couple tied the knot in April 2024.
Between the years 2006 and 2011, Mitchel Musso portrayed Oliver Oken, a close friend of Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) on the show Hannah Montana. As the series was coming to an end, he had a flourishing career ahead with Disney, securing a leading role in a new series titled Pair of Kings, as well as hosting PrankStars. However, when he was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI while underage—he was 20 years old at the time—on October 17, 2011, his role in Pair of Kings was terminated, and his prank show met its end. Following this incident, he focused on independent films and providing voice-overs for the Disney XD series Milo Murphy’s Law.
In 2023, Musso was detained in Texas for public intoxication and theft.
Although Jason Earles portrayed Miley Cyrus’ older brother Jackson Stewart on Hannah Montana, who was written as a high school student in the first season, he was actually 29 when the series started and 34 by its end. Following this, he starred in Disney XD comedy Kickin’ It for four seasons, playing a character more fitting his age, Rudy, until it ended in March 2015. Since 2018, he has been appearing on the Brat series, Hotel Du Loone, available on YouTube. Additionally, he joined the third season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. In August 2017, Jason Earles married his girlfriend Katie Drysen.
Following his role as younger character Cory Baxter in That’s So Raven from 2003 to 2007, Kyle Massey subsequently received a spinoff series, Cory in the House, which ran until 2008. After that, he appeared frequently on shows like The Electric Company, guest-starred on Gotham and Being Mary Jane, provided voiceovers for animated series such as Fish Hooks, Mighty Magiswords, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and participated in season 11 of Dancing With the Stars and a 2017 episode of Celebrity Family Feud opposite Jennie Garth.
Rumors circulated in 2018 that he would be joining the cast of The Hills: New Beginnings, but these rumors were ultimately unfounded. In 2021, Massey was charged with a felony for alleged inappropriate communication with a minor girl. His lawyer issued a statement at the time, saying, “It is unfortunate that Kyle Massey had to learn through the media yesterday that the 2019 allegations have resurfaced in the State of Washington a year after their dismissal.” The actor claims that the accusations then and now are extortionate.
The attorney further added, “Massey intends to aggressively defend these accusations again and will seek civil damages from those who refuse to hear the facts. We plan to seek an early dismissal—finally putting these extortionate attempts to rest.
Following his stint as Twitty on Even Stevens from 2000 to 2003 and voicing Josh Mankey in several Kim Possible episodes, A.J. Trauth ventured into guest appearances across various shows like 7th Heaven, House, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, Bones, and many others until 2012. Since then, he’s been seen in a few indie films and lent his voice to video games such as Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014) and its sequel, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (2017). In February 2014, he proposed to actress Leah Pipes, his girlfriend of nearly three years. They got married that December, but their marriage didn’t last long, ending by 2019.
Following her three-year stint as Ren Stevens on Even Stevens, her portrayal of Kim Possible, and sharing the screen with Hilary Duff in the 2002 Disney Channel Original Movie Cadet Kelly, Christy Carlson Romano graced Broadway for a 31-week run in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in 2004, playing Belle. She revisited the theater district in 2008, joining the cast of Avenue Q.
In 2007, she published a novel titled Grace’s Turn, directed a movie, Christmas All Over Again, in 2016, and earned a degree in Film Studies from Barnard College. She tied the knot with writer-producer Brendan Rooney on December 31, 2013. The couple are parents to two daughters, their youngest born in February 2019.
In 2019, she reappeared on the network that launched her fame with a role in the live-action Kim Possible film, portraying pop star Poppy Blu. In May 2019, she shared openly about the challenges she faced transitioning from her years as a Disney Channel star in a candid essay for Teen Vogue. “My life was not always perfect or put-together as my success during my youth might suggest,” she admitted. “During a period of my life, I struggled with depression, drinking, and more, searching for solutions to my feelings.
1999 marked the start of Brandon Baker’s DCOM journey, where he first appeared as the main character in the movie “Johnny Tsunami”. Following this, he had occasional roles, including stints on “Even Stevens” and shows like “Boston Public” and “The Unit”, while also studying at UC Santa Barbara.
In 2007, he reprised his role as the Disney-famous Johnny Tsunami in the sequel, “Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board”. Since then, he’s acted in two independent films – “The Formula”, alongside “Family Matters” legend Reginald VelJohnson, and “Up on the Wooftop”, which featured “Saved By the Bell’s” Dennis Haskins as Santa Claus.
Back in the year 2001, I found myself starring as Andrea “Andi” Carson in the Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) titled “Motocrossed.” This role had me portraying a teenage girl who was passionate about motocross but was forbidden to compete. In a twist of fate, I secretly took up racing under the guise of my twin brother after he suffered an injury before a major race.
After the film’s release, I landed a few guest roles on shows such as “7th Heaven,” “Boston Public,” and “Cold Case.” However, in 2006, I decided to bid farewell to acting altogether. It was said that I delved into the field of medicine at USC. When a fan inquired about my current activities on Twitter in April 2016, I revealed that I was focusing on writing. Despite this newfound passion, acting has always remained close to my heart.
Following her consistent appearance in the show “Phil of the Future“, Kay Panabaker became a regular face on Disney Channel, gracing shows like “Life is Ruff” and “Read It and Weep“, sharing the screen with her elder sibling Danielle Panabaker. They also participated in the inaugural Disney Channel Games in 2006. She later shifted to more mature roles, appearing in the 2009 remake of “Fame” and the 2011 ABC series “No Ordinary Family“. However, by 2012, she decided to step away from acting. Subsequently, she pursued a degree in zoology at UCLA and, by 2016, was working as an animal caretaker at none other than Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
